Leak on passenger floor, 95 Fleetwood

As I spend the weekend attending to all the little projects I've been saving up for, more little issues rear their ugly heads.

The floor on the front passenger side all the way up against the firewall is very wet. I can't remember the last time it rained, maybe last week, but there is quite a lot of water. Any ideas? Not really any rust on the car, so I'm trying to check for seals and stuff. Perhaps it's the AC evaporator drain hose? Trying to find it, but no luck...

Something is wrong with the A/C drain. I have changed the heater core and had a rubber drain piece fall out of position and the drain water did not make it out.. Its right under the heater core looking from under the hood.. Check to see if its there or blocked up...

I've got a small plastic outlet below the heater core, to the left of the AC evaporator lines, but no hose attached. I think this is the culprit. Gotta see if I can find a hose for it somewhere...

It's a 90 degree rubber elbow, pointing at the ground. If missing, use a piece of tubing, zip tie to the frame.

That was it. Wish I'd found it before summer...

I am having the same issue too. Right now the carpet and padding is wet. I took off the under dash plastics and ran the AC, the drain pan is catching the run off water. I do not have a rubber elbow on the outside though.

Could it be a body seam leak?

Did the 80s B/C bodies have the same issue with the rubber elbow falling off?

Re: Leak on passenger floor, 95 Fleetwood

My 89 has over 200,000 miles and the hose is still firmly in place. My 95 had barely 30,000 when I bought it, and it was missing. Possible a previous owner replaced the hose on my 89 and used a very tight clamp or silicone to keep it there.

Does the hose not have a clamp from the factory? Is it just kinda jammed on there? That's pretty weak.

    No clamp.

firsttimecaddi, get something on the outlet pointing at the ground, the elbow stops your symptoms. A 90 degree spark plug boot will work.

Interesting. On my '88, it's just an open hole at the bottom of the evap. chamber out in the engine compartment.
