    TPS Adjustment

Hello, i've just replaced my tps sensor, my car runs better than with the old one but the new one needs adjusting. I have seen pepople talking about a "plug" on the airhorn beside the throttle pump lever which covers the adjustment screw, but I've not been able to see anything myself? Anyone of you guys who haev done this and can give me a helping hand in locating it?

    Re: TPS Adjustment

I've not yet adjusted the sensor...is there any other tools you can use except for the special tool made for only this?

    Re: TPS Adjustment

I haven't found any other way. I tried a bunch of things.

I had read you could use the inside tube from a ball point pen if you could find one of the older ones with a metal tube in it. That didn't work for me, my adjuster screw was too tight. In the end I had to buy the tool.

    Re: TPS Adjustment

It's very hard to find. The only link I could find that wasn't sold out is here:
http://www.toolrage.com/prodview.asp?sku=OTC-7667 but I've never bought from them...

The picture looks exactly like the one that I bought however I do not recall the exact part number for the tool I bought. I do still have mine at home so I can try to find a part number on it when I get home if that helps.

    ----------

Nevermind, that one is out of stock too...damn.

    http://www.amazon.com/7667-Computer-.../dp/B000I195NE
    1 left in stock here.
    And one on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/OTC-7667-GM-...-/190830266686
