    93 FWB overdrive changing gears

Hi again guys got another problem croping up now. I've noticed that when I'm driving and I have it in the D, with a circle around it, when I hover around 70-72mph it can't seem to stick with a single gear and keeps changing making the car jerk each time. I've checked and when I'm in the D, without a circle, it won't do that and just stay in one gear as I drive. Is there a common sensor that goes bad for this or is my overdrive dying?

I don't think it is going from 3rd to 4th (OD), I think the torque converter is locking and unlocking.

Is there a way I can confirm it is the torque converter?

A new development driving home tonight I tried to stay around 70-72 where I was having the problem though this time there wasn't a noticeable jerk but if I turned the air off and no music I could here a whine/hum for 5-8 seconds then like some thing engage or disengage then silence for 5-8 seconds them a slight whine/hum again with this continually repeating the whole time I drove and at any speed it seemed. Does that further put me down the road for the torque converter?
