My gas pedal always sticks for the first press...

I have a '95 Fleetwood Brougham - and every time I get into the car and hit the gas for the first time, the pedal sticks slightly. Why is this? I can be driving around for hours, turn off the car and get out - and get back in 2 minutes later - and it'll do the same thing.. Why is that?

(Just an FYI - I have a question in regards to the stock stereo in the Infotainment section.. hint hint)

Have you tried lubricating the throttle line

    Sal,

Easy fix... this is common on most GM throttle body engines and since you just got yours, even more so.

Take off the rubber boot at the throttle body and use some carb cleaner inside where the butterfly valves are. What happens is that you will get a little buildup right where the plates meet the casing. Open the valves by hand and use the cleaner (sprayed onto a rag) to remove the gunk.

Double your money back if this doesn't work

That's DEFINATELY it, like Bill said. Just make sure to use the rag and solvent as he said. DO NOT spray solvent into the intake plenum with the engine off. If you want to do the BEST job, clean it as best as you can with the rag and then start up the engine and spray the small areas that you can't get to with the rag. In order to get it to start with the intake ducting off, you'll need to disconnect the MAF electrical connection. This puts the PCM into a "back-up" mode called Speed & Density and allows the engine to run without the MAF.
