    Adjusting POA for 134a - 70 Deville

    I'm getting ready to change out my seized up AC compressor. My question is this:
    Should I go through the expense of sending out the POA to have it calibrated for 134a? Has anyone done this and what benefit did it offer?
    It's going to cost more for this than the compressor so I'm very reluctant to do it. Keep in mind I'm doing all the other routine stuff as well (i.e. cleaning out the lines, o-rings, new expansion valve, dryer ...)

    I would keep it stock, and find someone to fill it with R12.

    R-12 can be had on places like ebay.

    R-134A requires the use of a crossflow condensor in order to meet BTU goal.

    AC will not work anywhere near factory spec. without one.
