And it would be a waste of time and money if you've already correctly bypassed the VATS.

the problem isnt the ignition,as I have already bypassed it and as it turns out the problem is the module itself, i gotta replace it but GM has discontinued that part, so i gotta find a used one now and have it interrogated to find out the new key number so I can replace the resistor(dont want to pay 100$ for a new key) What a STUPID system!! Wish I could just program the VATS out of the system but I don't know of any shop who do that in my area.

You'll need a CCM, then. When you replace it you need to find out what key resistor value it is looking for. The CCM tells the PCM to ground the starter solenoid and turn on the fuel injectors when it sees the right key.

EDIT: That's basically what you said above. I don't know how you 'interrogate' them, but since there's only 15 combinations to try you may be better off trying them yourself.

I had this problem on a past Fleetwood I owned and it was because I worked in a pizzeria and I got flour build up on my key around the chip after I cleaned it and put the key in and out of the ignition a few times while recleaning the key it worked
