    Arizona Mechanic, rear end vibration

I'm starting to have a vibration by the right rear tire when I go above 68 mph. Any ideas on what that could be? Also for the Phoenix, Az drivers do you have any recommendations on a good trustworthy mechanic? The regular guy I would go to says the cars to old for him to work on it.

yeah, sounds like the tire could be out of balance. That's probably the easiest thing to test for. Take it to a tire shop and have them balance it

A vibration at 68 or above sounds more like a faulty tire not balance. As mentioned either install the spare and drive it or swap a front tire for a rear and drive it.

I had the same symptoms once. It turned out the tire developed a small bulge in one spot. Replacing the tire fixed the problem.
