    She's back!

I got the coupe back from the body shop. Now it's time to get her dressed. The paint job was good, but there was some body work that needed to be done but was ignored due to price. The color match was perfect, and over all I am pleased with the job. But the next one I will go the Csbukin route and do it myself.
Also does anyone know how to re attach the body moulding that goes on the front fenders. It was on there pretty tight and I might have bent the ears taking the pieces off.

    Thanks,
    Tom.

    Nice.
But, why start a new topic every time. Why not just add them to your existing topics...
Maybe a mod can combine them all into one..

Looks good! Which trim are you having trouble reattaching?

The side body moulding pieces that go on the sides of the fenders. It looks like the fenders have these metal rabbit ear type clips that hold it on, and when removing it I bent them or something. I imagine this might require the removal of these studs and clips, which might involve hammering them out. If that is the case I might go ahead with a bit of jb weld and super glue, so I don't damage the paint. But I am not sure.
    Thanks,
    Tom.

    Re: She's back!

Do you mean the thin polished metal/chrome strip that goes about half way up the rear fender?

If so, and if it's like my 69 caddy, those clips are separate from the body and you can pull them out by punching them from the back (in the trunk) and pushing them through.

If not, please provide some pics

Very nice! I have one in Seafoam, but the firemist colors have always been stunning. Whenever I've had a car painted, something goofy always seems to happen. New paint seems to draw crazies to it.

That sounds about right, except it is on the front fender. I will check it out more and see if I can do that.

Yup, I've noticed people want to touch the car. I must have anger issues, because it makes me want to hit them.
