Just like brake pads buy ones from a name brand and you'll be good. Let price take over from there. One set gets you both sides just like you're used to. I always replace the hardware at the same time - aka all the springs. Because they come in a kit and are cheap.

Re: The best brake shows for 1995 Fleetwood

    Thanks, Brougham!

I remember the original shoes were riveted, so I'll get ACDelco riveted ones. The last question. There are two sizes listed: 11" x 2" and 11.16" x 2.75 (2.81)". Which should I choose? The nominal inside diameter of the drum is 11.00". I guess bigger diameter shoes are for resurfaced drums? How about the width? Unfortunately, I cannot take off the wheels to check out.

    Thank you!

The 11.16" x 2.75" are the commercial chassis shoes. You want the 11" x 2"

If you ever had a bonded shoe come loose and lock up the wheel you would not have to ask if you should buy riveted shoes..Don't use bonded..

Yup, heard those stories. Looks like riveted shoes have shorter life though. As soon as the lining gets even with rivets, you have to replace the shoes.

Yeah but even so, rear brakes don't do as much of the braking as fronts and last a long time. Quite often when bonded ones fail it's because of extreme heat, and riveted ones can also break apart under the same condtions. I can't even remember what I've been using. Mine is due for rear brakes this year, and drums. Double whammy.

    And you're welcome

Okay, gents. Thank you. Will replace the hardware and clean the speed sensors while there as well. Have done the wheel cylinders a couple of years ago.
Ordered these. I think they should be fine.
