    Oil pressure switch and connector?

83 Deville 4.1? My oil pressure switch connector was not connected and the wires were wrapped around each other. I think this was done to make the car think it was connected. Once i changed the switch and the connector the car has been acting up. The idle is up and down and it cuts off.

Replace the sender with a gauge to see the actual oil pressure. If the oil pressure is too low, the pressure switch turns off the fuel pump.
