    Seat swap question

Hey, does anyone know if seats from an 89 brougham would be a direct bolt in to a 69 calais sedan?

    Thanks.

Just winging it here, but I really don't think so.

According to your header, you own both models. Measure the distances between the floor mounting bolts and see.

    I'm still sticking with "no".

    Re: Seat swap question

I'll say "no", too. I have 90 D'Elegance seats in my 71 Pontiac full size, and the rear seat from the 71 was wider. The outer bench mounts were the same as the Cadillac seats, but I had to put in inner mounts. So, you can make them work, but they are not a direct swap.

    Thanks guys.

There's a set of 89 seats that i was thinking of getting for my 69. the seats in there right now are ripped to hell. Maybe I'll just hold off until i can afford to have the original seats recovered. : )

    Re: Seat swap question

The 89's seat tracks are narrower than in the 69, so you'd be drilling new holes in the 69's floorpan. I've seen older Cads in the junkyards where this swap was done, and they always look Klassy.
