Did you get an owners manual with the car??? It will be in there.

There should be a "set" button nearby, at least there is on all the Cadillacs i've seen. put everything where you want it, hold the set button, and press either 1 or 2 depending on which setting you want

    Re: power seats

On mine, you move the seat to the desired position, press (don't hold) the "Set" button and then press the "1" or "2" button. Mine is a 1987...I don't know if it had changed by 1993...it's possible you may have to hold the "Set" button whilst pressing the "1" or "2" button. It's been a while, but I believe that I can do it without having the car "on". I do remember that the owners manual said that the car was to be "on", but I seem to recall doing it without the key in the ignition...I may be wrong, though. I do remember the manual said that the car must be in Park, however.

My 2001 Park Avenue did not have a "Set" button...so you just moved everything into position and held the "Memory 1", "Memory 2" or "Exit" button for 3 seconds and it would beep. IIRC, you had to have the car "on", but not necessarily running...but had to be in Park. So if you don't have a "Set" button, you might try that.

Wait, are you telling me these cars have a memory for setting the seat to a particular position?!? I just have refused to let anyone drive my car because it messes the seat up. Please don't my family and friends.

No, in all seriousness, I had no idea this was possible. Going to have to go outside and check this out once this burn from the muffler stops hurting. (Got overeager to check something out).

Depends if your car is equipped with it. If it is, you'll have a memory seats button (1, 2, and set) on the drivers door (if your car is from the 80s-92) or control panel on the seat (93-96)

I have never looked down there. I will investigate! It wouldn't surprise. I am amazed by the attention to detail, but that's what was expected in a Cadillac.

I'm 6'0" and my wife is 5'0"...so the memory feature would, theoretically, be a great feature in such a case. However, my wife won't drive the car ("it's too big") so I have #1 set as my driving position and #2 set as an exit position (all the way down/back).

I've seen some 80s ones with it. TOo bad they didn't carry it over to the 90s.

So I don't think my car has this feature.

The seat buttons are on the armrest in the door, so I should have known.
