Wow, I could see it going to the price of a new Cadillac. Why not, after all, it is one!

    Smile

Fun to see nice old cars like this! I can only imagine the high blood pressure from having this car in the garage is causing the seller with all the "what if" risks mentioned like the possibility of a micro scratch from a belt buckle. If that car were my cup of tea I would buy it, pick it up in person, and put the seller over the edge as I burned rubber driving out of the driveway - wait, those have traction control...maybe I would just turn on the wipers. Happy motoring!

This kind of find is always fun to read about, but I just don't understand the thinking. Why buy a car like this and never drive it?
It's not an investment. He's not going to get back what he paid + inflation + insurance paid + taxes paid, etc.
I can understand people who buy a nice car, then get too old to drive, or hanging on to a spouse's car after they pass away, but this one sounds like he bought the car just so he could sit and look at it.

Not really my thing, but I can appreciate these when they're triple black. Knew a guy in Vegas with two.

I could see myself owning one someday as a beater.

Nice. The right color too :-p

Did that rear armrest come with the Broughams? Both my limos had a simple arm rest. I'd love one with cup holders in it.

By the angle it is sticking up I would guess it was added from a donor car, but I am sure someone here will know for sure.

I gave that a second look when I saw it too!

Looks like the engine was sprayed off... I would have liked to had the original dust on it.

Sure could not use those cupholders on that rear seat unless it was a sealed bottle. LOL.

I got a bunch of those cheesy clamp-them-on-the-door-panel cup holders at Wal*Mart. You know what? They work. The limo has like 27 cupholders in it and they're all like 1/4 inch deep. That's not how I roll. If you're in the back and I'm driving you need something with a straw, and even then you risk shoving it up your nose.

Re: 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham 800 ORIGINAL MILES !!!

You know something strange. I also have a 1993 Mercedes S-Class sedan, the 400SEL which was the long wheelbase V8 model. I still have the window sticker, it was a $82,000 car when sold in September of 1992. This car has NO cupholders, not even in the front. I was in shock, I mean my old 1991 Honda Accord had cupholders! lol. Investigation found that in Germany they frown upon eating and drinking when driving, so they didn't offer cupholders in their cars then. Obviously they seen that Americans really didn't like that, so they finally started offering them in 1995. lol. My Mercedes does not even have a CD player and it was a $82,000 car! It was optional on the 400SEL, but standard on the 500SEL (as was a huge cell phone, lol), but it was a $95,000 car in 1993. Blows my mind. lol. It sure has everything else though (including "soft-close" doors and little back up antennas and of course everything power and heated seats, sunroof, etc) and its built like a bank vault. It just amazes me that it dont have cupholders or a CD player. lol. I am not sure if the $110,000 600SEL V12 had them or not. lol.

My Cadillac has no cupholders. That'd be silly.

It has an Urn-Holder though, which is just as good. Even better, in fact.

    Sorry, I just had to.
