    94 Fleetwood vinyl top reupholster?

Like the title says, I have a 94 Fleetwood, and the vinyl top is getting jacked up from age or whatever. I'm also in a shitty area now so no shops that are willing to reupholster it.

I did a little research and found a link from a site that sells a new one fully made, but I still havnt tried or couldnt find how to actually remove the current top so wanted help on that. As well, I personally wanted to go with a different texture than the standard tuxedo texture, so how hard is to just reupholster the current one myself? Any help is highly appreciated.

To remove the top you simply cut and pull. You pop the side emblems off with a screwdriver or a trim removal tool. The trim below the back window at the edge of the top just pops off.

You're in Miami, correct? There has to be a lot of shops in south Florida that can do a top. That place is the home of vinyl tops!

If you want to do it yourself, you need to measure carefully and use lots of glue. It gets brushed along the edges and sprayed over the top. There's lots of videos on youtube (I searched "vinyl top install").

Well I'm from Miami, but I'm stationed at Beaufort, sc. So closest thing would prob be Atlanta almost 5hrs away. But thx for the link, didnt consider YouTube since couldn't find stuff online. Ill check it out later, hopefully it's not too bad, if so prob gonna had to consider a top delete.

From what I've heard, a top delete will be harder.

The top delete will be harder. Without the vinyl there's a whole different rear window trim which is hard to find along with you'll want to paint it and patch some holes as well.

Unless you car already looks like a pile I would rather pay someone to do it then try it myself. There's too much that can go wrong with vinyl roof installs.

Nah the car is looking good. The roof is one of the only issues I have. Ill try posting a pic up later. But yea I def don't feel comfortable doing the vinyl top myself after seeig that vid. Anyone know where I can get the weather stripping if I do a delete? Paint and body work shouldn't be an issue.
