    95 Fleetwood ABS/Traction control light

I have a 1995 Fleetwood base, the traction control and ABS lights are on, sensor on one of the wheels I'm guessing, since thats the only thing I can think of that would make both lights come on, other than the ABS module. The traction control doesnt work for sure, I'll spin out pretty easy on wet pavement. How to I figure out which one it is? I'd rather not replace all of them.

Refer to "Using the On-Board Diagnostics" in this link:
    http://myweb.accessus.net/~090/cfb-tech.html#diag

Or go to a shop, and have your codes pulled.

you must have 04-31 or 04-33 codes... I have had them for more than a year, still cannot figure out... the warning lights will show in the morning and will go off if I restart the car.... then they may appear again in 10-15 miles...

Threw an 0427, Wheel speed sensor circuit continuity malfunction. Now what the hell does that mean?!

It means you have failed, front wheel speed sensor (or less likely, a connector/wiring problem). Not sure why it doesn't discriminate between right and left.

I had a similar problem in my '96 Fleetwood , and it turned out to be sulphate in the main ABS harness.

Re: 95 Fleetwood ABS/Traction control light

I also have a 95 Fleetwood Brougham. I've had the traction control light on for sometime now. I've replaced the sensors but the light stayed on so I've just dealt with it. Last night the ABS came on for about 5 minutes then when off. Reading the post it seems to be the same issue.
What and how would I go and check the connectors/harness on this vehicle?
    Walk me through it please.

    Thanks for your input.

Re: 95 Fleetwood ABS/Traction control light

    FOUND IT!
After putting it in the back burner I found the answer. Let me let you know what I found and how dumb it really was.
I have a Corvette with a traction control on & off switch on the center console so I thought that the Cadillac would have the same. After looking through the owners manual I found that indeed there is one. I found it in the glove box. I turned it on and the problem was solved!
    It was that simple.
Boy do I feel stupid by making a rookie move like that. I guess I just gave it too much thought and just went in circles. It wasn't until I forgot about it when the solution hit me.
    GEES!
Now to find the alarm on this thing. I'm not sure it even had one but who knows what the previous owner did with it.

This must be one of the cheapest fix ever ,good to hear you found that glitch . I doubt aftermarket alarm gets alone well with the car though

I'm reminded of my first car alarm. It tied into the door light switch, it had a hidden key switch to turn it on and off and the alarm was a bell.
It worked great. Now if people would have done something when my car was broken into.

"Oh there is a car alarm going off, I better look to see if everything's OK!"....said nobody, ever!

I don't think anyone knew what it was since car alarms were not very common.
