1979 Cadillac Coupe Deville Renaissance Info

I recently acquired/inherited my grandpa's Caddy. I don't know that much about it except it's a Renaissance car. Does anyone have any information on Wisco conversions? A value for the car? It has about 88k original miles and was bought by my grandpa in 1990. I will be listing it for sale soon...

    Nice looking car.
The renaissance edition is an aftermarket "conversion" (continental kit, rolls royce grille, vinyl top). It doesn't really add much to the value of the car (and personally it would make me pay less since I don't like them).
As for a price, we would need a lot more pictures of the outside and interior. Also, since members are from a couple different countries and in both urban and rural settings, values will vary.

    Grampa was an OG!

Beautiful looking old Cadillac and in a great color. Shame to hear you aren't keeping it. Probably not worth as much as the sentimental value of the car. Perhaps someone else in the family would want it. I personally love the look but agree with Kevin it certainly does not add to the value, unless someone just falls in love with the look. Then you might get a couple of extra bucks out of them. The miles are low for the year, but not so low as to really drive the value high. Great car and you should have no trouble finding it a deserving home.

The car has been sitting for 8 years and doesn't really have any sentimental value as I never did go anywhere in it. My dad restored 55 6 and 7 Chevies and my loyalty lies with them and the other fifties cars. I have entirely too many of those projects to deal with. I will put some more pictures of the car up. If anybody wants to shoot me a ballpark figure...or offer...I would appreciate it.Cad3.jpg

Anyone else notice the blockoffs on the bumper grilles?
I will say it is a nice car. I'd put an asking price of 4500-5k on it (after it's been detailed). You can always go down.

Nope. There are supposed to be 2 small grilles there.

It has the deElegance interior. Any other options? The blanket over the front seat suggests excessive wear. Personally more interested in the '79 Phaeton in the background of the pic on the right.

I just noticed that. Phaetons are really neat.
As for the blanket over the seat- it could mean either A. Excessive seat wear or B. Someone didn't want to clean the pillowed seat or wanted to keep it for fading (both reasons I covered the seats in my lesabre)

Same with the blanket over the dash. Could mean its toast or someone wanted to keep it from fading/ cracking.

Re: 1979 Cadillac Coupe Deville Renaissance Info

Other than the fact it's been in a barn for the last seven years the interior is almost perfect...the cord on the drivers seat back has some wear and there is a crack in the dash and drivers door panel...other than that I see nothing wrong with it...just needs a good detail.

I am asking 4200.00 OBO for the car...it has 88k miles on it.
    Options that I see:
    8 track player
    power everything
    renaissance conversion
    tilt and telescoping column
cb radio(that I don't know how to work or i would try it)
    Auto dimming headlights
    Sentinel (whatever that is)
    thermometer
    sun roof

I'm sure there are more that I don't know about

The Phaeton in the background got crushed last summer when we cleaned up my grandparents place...sorry

Why would you crush a phaeton? If it was in similar shape to the deville you posted, it would have been worth more than 4200.

Sounds like you've got a fair starting price for the car. Good luck with the sale.
