Update: exhaust system is on and I drove it home.
It has a severe miss (car shakes every 5-10 seconds at idle and feels like its a couple cylinders short of 8 while driving.) It also smells bad (the taste is still in my mouth....dad says it smells like a motor thats been sitting a while whatever that means) and smoked grey for a little bit while driving away from my mechanics (my dad was following me and said it cleared up pretty quick).
Also, the red "no charge" light came on as I pulled in the driveway. I'm guessing the alternator died (it is a 78 amp unit from the truck and is who-knows-how old. It looks like it may be original to the truck- 1987)
But it's back home, and I have some work (ok -alot of work) to do to it.

Edit: miss is burned spark plug wires (because of headers)
Bad smell is most likely a leaking valve cover (mechanic thought he fixed it, but theyre uuber cheapo valve covers and may be warped.)
Grey smoke might have been oil burning off of new exhaust pipes since it went away pretty quick
Pics of exhaust system to come later. It look good and sounds pretty good.
Funny that a 350 with a bad miss has just as much power as the old 307 when it was in perfect tune

one of the spark plugs is missing the rubber boot and the wires are too close to headers.

I was going through the local craigslist 2 nights ago and decided to look at old stereo equipment.....found a guy really close to me selling a Phoenix Gold zx200 v2 amp (75wpc rmsx2 @ 4 ohms), EQ215ix 15 bandx2 channel equalizer/ crossover, and a PLD1 8 volt line driver for 70 dollars total. I immediately called him and talked to him about it. He said he was the original owner and that he had them in service until 1.5 years ago when he decided to put his car back to stock. I told him that his price was more than fair (a good new line driver costs more than 70 dollars) and that I didn't want to haggle the price. He was shocked and actually said that since I was straight up with him and wasn't trying to lowball him (he said everyone who called only wanted to pay 10-30 dollars for everything) he would sell me them for 60 dollars. He agreed to hold them for me and I picked them up yesterday. They all have some minor scuffs, but considering they're 15-20 years old, they look really nice.

    ----------

Also, a couple weeks ago I got my turbine rims in (got a set of 4 for 280 shipped). When it gets warmer, I'll refinish them.

Now that you mention it dave, I saw a set for the 90s aluminum lace wheels on the fwd fleetwood today that might. They were brushed looking and had "cadillac motor car division" going around the outside of it with the crest and wreath in the middle.
