I figured it would be a lot cheaper to have them fit the skins to your seats than for them to start from scratch. Love the back seat!

got the crossmember notched today. It's not pretty but it is solid.

also, I picked up a nice flexible set of window felts from the 86 d'elegance, a set of poverty hubcaps, and some klipsch bookshelf speakers from the back seat of a festiva in the junkyard(netted some nice woofers and horns from them)

Looking good, you'll be glad you did. From a distance, you can see my exhaust hanging down a little on the drivers side because I didnt notch it.

Can't be worse than mine. The shop that did it (right when my car and I got to Florida and I had no clue of which shops were worth visiting) weren't the most competent. On the commercial chassis, there is a secondary beam that crosses over between the crossmember and the rear axle. This beam actually has a spot on EACH side for the exhaust to pass up and over it. However, they chose to go under it. WELL under it. Naturally, I have scraped that part of the exhaust on everything you can imagine (which is to be expected from Commercial Chassis cars anyhow, but really, this is just absurd)

When I run my exhaust, I will do duals as well and naturally, tackle this obstacle the right way. Hoping I may have word on those motor mounts soon. I have a friend who saw some at his junkyard recently and plans to check back, in return for some of my spare pulleys, for his own Hearse.

Went to do the exhaust on my caddy today. Got all the parts and tools and whatnot....went to start it...nothing. battery was dead. So I went home, grabbed my jumper cables, and went back to start it. Fired right up for one second then flat out died. So I let it sit a couple minutes (charging) and tried again. It fired and ran, but ran like crap for 30 seconds. Put it in drive and it immediately died. Looked over at the fuel gauge and it was on E with the light on. It had half a tank in it last week. Someone siphoned my tank. They got 10 gallons of 2 year old fuel LOL.

Also, on another note, my dad noticed my fan wasn't centered in the shroud. Its about 1 inch (guessing here) off center of the shroud and far too big for the shroud- it almost hits the upper radiator hose (its a freakin huge fan).
I don't think the engine is off center because its perfectly level and I think there would have been issues with the trans not being centered on the hump or the driveshaft being off center. Looks like I may be going electric fans afterall.

^^GM mounted all the engines in their full-size RWD cars about 1" off centre to the right in the 80's. The trans is also off centre by the same amount. Look closely at your shroud and you will see the circle for the fan is also over to the right to compensate. Goodness knows what the engineering department was smoking back in the day.

    Cheers......R.

Simple WAG, to eliminate driveline vibrations due to the offset of the rearend pinion?

So its not just me? GM actually made them that way? How odd.
I do need a smaller fan as the current fan is far too large (about an inch smaller than the circular part of the shroud itself).
I wonder if a '93 350 fleetwood or roadmaster fan shroud would fit under my hood.

    Make some progress last night.
Cut a new panel for the console

    Cut a radio delete plate

Also painted one of the speaker grates of my pioneer 6.5s to see how it looks.

Also looking at these for the console lids.

Looks good. here are a few more to consider. The first two would leave the top flat so you wouldn't have to lean on it or catch sleeves on it.
The last one would mount on the edge of the cover.
