To bleed by yourself, you need a self bleeder kit but they dont work as good. I suggest the one that attaches to the master cylinder, not the one that you put on the bleeder valve. Nice axle, where did it come from?

    Re: 1981 Brougham Project

I got the 10 year old next door to help me bleed them. He was all about it and the car's on the ground now. That rearend came out of my coupe before I swapped the 3.23's in. I knew it was posi so I hung on to it in case this situation ever presented itself. The coupe had hardly any options so it was kind of surprising to see that there.

If you ever have to do it again, you can gravity bleed them. You open up the bleeders and make sure the master stays topped up.

I gravity fed a truck last night but thought it was the wrong way. I will say it worked great.

I actually left the rear bleeders open all night by suggestion of my brother in law, but it didn't push all the way through.

Here it is on the ground. The eagle's just resting on the bumper, it's nothing I tried to mount or anything like that. I've been driving it up and down the street all morning, just need a windshield and it's ready to be inspected.

Why is it so low on the pass rear? Front looks low, too.

I used the Eibach springs from my coupe and it's sitting on a hump in the driveway. It does sit level. The eagle was just there for fun.

Cool, looks like the right height for Eibachs. Good springs.

I really like the way that car sits. When I replace the springs in my FWB, I'd like it to sit at that height.

That is one fine ride. Man those coupes are lookers! I also agree the ride height is great. Just a little bit of mean with the lux! Keep up the good work and enjoy the rewards. (Keep us posted should go without saying!)
I don't know about anyone else, but I never tire of looking at fine old Cadillacs!

Could you elaborate a little? How long does it take, and do you run the risk of letting the master empty while you wait? I did the fronts on my Coupe with one of those suction at the wheel tools, and while it took awhile, it worked fine. I'm anxious to hear what you have to say cause bleeding is a pain, and anything to make it faster is great.
