Hey that looks like a great car to start with. I really like that look with the front end. Hope it all goes smooth for you!

Angry Matt, I keep looking at your old Coupe and can't help but think of how awesome it would be to have one of those in satin black to match my wagon.

Damn you. I think I want a Fleetwood Coupe....

6th wheel's on top of the trunk lid like the Seville, not on the bumper like a continental kit, or 5th. Nobody talks like that around here, I just read about it on the internet.

    Re: 1981 Brougham Project

I wondered if that's what you were talking about. Id have one, but for me it'ld have to be on a slantback Seville. As for the booty kit, (5th wheel) that's not out of the question either. Seems these accessories have become offensive to most, excluding me of course!!

Thanks for posting the pictures they keep me inspired. Next week I am buffing the car, installing new shocks all around, tires and new caps, and a new blower motor. i plan on posting more pics also but when i see you guys working it helps keep me at it. You know after seeing those cars in black I am thinking of changing my color to a charcoal grey or black.

    Re: 1981 Brougham Project

Today I got the rear in and the brakes set up. All that's left is to bleed them and the car can drive. Is there a trick to bleed them yourself? I've only ever done it with two people and I'd rather not bother my wife with it.
Here's a shot of the limited slip rear open.

These are the Cragars I got. They really need to be rechromed, but I'm probably not going to use them anyway.

And for some reason my dad thought it would be a good idea to buy a 2012 ZL1. 580hp.

Hopefully tomorrow the car will be on the ground and I can get some good shots with the new suspension. I'll have to adjust the camber at some point though.

Your dad was right. It's a great idea.

    Re: 1981 Brougham Project

I had my 80 coupe 90d out and I was like you at first. I have been wanting to do it but then after years of having it on, one day I went to my storage unit and pulled out the OG nose and swapped everything back, including the rear. I took off the Rolls Royce grille and removed the 5th wheel. Now it is all stock and I like how it looks. Get more compliments and thumbs up when driving...
I sold much of the 90s stuff but still have the R & R grille, 5th wheel, 90 nose with headlights only...
