Lesson learned about wire hub caps on 78 Caddy

For two months I have been wondering how I was going to get the wire wheels off my caddy. The tires were dry rotting, and the key to the hub cap was no where found. I tried needle nose plyers. I tried needle nose vice grips. Bought a fancy steel drill bit,
and even tried the screw extractors. Nothing worked. Yesterday I learned that the blasted things were not locked on in the first
place! Hub caps were just put on the wheels with most of the locks broken on the inside!!! My father had taken care of this car
immaculately before he died and he probably knew this fact years ago. Lesson learned the hard way.:bonkers: Oh well, at least
Firestone did not charge me when they put nice new white walls on the car.
