I can't help with the diagram, but I can offer some helpful advice...

First, acquire a factory service manual. You can get them for cheap on eBay; here is a list of auctions. The manual should have the vacuum routing.

Second, color code you hoses. I replaced all of mine a few years ago and color coded them with paint markers, and now I know exactly where they all go.

Isn't that a washer pump hose, not a vacuum line?

One looks like EGR valve and one looks like pcv or to air management valve.

^Right. There's a gaping hole in the valve cover, where the PCV valve is supposed to go. The hose with the metal clip goes to that.

The hole is where my oil cap goes. That hose does not have enough slack to make it that far to the PCV. Does anyone have any detailed pictures of their engine compartment???

I Dont have a picture but I believe that hose is still gonna be the pcv, especially if its a hard hose. Maybe the pcv is supposed to be on that side and the oil cap is supposed to be on the other you can try switching the pcv and grommet to the other side. If that hose is hard and ends right at the hole, its for pcv. Or maybe you can rotate the hose to the other valve cover.

That hose with the clip looks like it goes in the front of the carb (atleast there's one like that on my 87's carb)

lol ignore that, just realized the air filter cover says digital fuel injection

I thought the oil cap went on the driver's side. Pretty awkward place with that hose there.

    Re: Vacuum line diagram help!

Oil cap is on the right cover. PCV valve has a rubber elbow and lays horizontal on the right cover and goes to throttle body. That is a very nice engine room. It should be relatively easy to get the vacuum lines back in place. Except for the w/s washer line.

    Cheers....R.

    Air Management Valve

    Hi there

I'm in a pickel with my 1981 cadillac 4-6-8. My dad bought the Caddy way back in '81, and braught it to South Africa. due to the fact there was no Unleaded Fuel in South Africa at that time -we have the Cat - removed.
Then about 7 years ago the caddy wasnt performing as well and a machanic that swore he knew what he was doing -tried to repear it. Well, it hasnt worked since then! I took ownership about 3 years ago, and i found out the the guy removed the Air management valve (well i think its called that), and i subsequently found it in some boxes just last week!
The problem is i dont know where all the pipes go to on this Air Managemet Valve unit - this is why i have attached a picture with numbers and arrows - hoping someone can help.

    1- Air Management Valve Unit?
a- where do all these yellow arrowed pipes lead too or from?
2-where does this 2-pin green plug -plug into?
3-what is that housing unit the pipes is attached to?
4-what is that gold-like ring ? and where does this pipe specifically go to?
5- these plastic conectors / vacuum units - what exactly is happening here?

if you want i can mail anyone a clearer picture if thy want, but i was hoping someone can assust in the interim.

    many thanks

    Isaias
