I see. But you had easier acess to the bolts, since the fenders were not on, right. When i replaced my driver door, it was a PITA...
And to this date it is crooked but you cant really tell but you can on the inside..I have to close it twice and on second attempt, Pulling hard on handle, it will close and latch good.
You mean like they are crooked? You can't tell, but check on inside and you'll be able to see if they are or not..I'll take a few pics of mine from both doors and you'll see, but that's tomorrow.

Yea, I'm not sure how to do it with the fender on. When I re hung the door, I took the fender off again.

    With the center console together...

    Re: 84 Coupe Deville Project

I was going thru some very old issues of lowrider magazine that i have, (1992) and well you know how you have a 90s header on with stock 80s fenders and bumper and you know how you used fillers off of 90-92. Well I found a picture of a caddy that has same front end, stock fenders and bumpers and stock fillers. You know how the 77-79 headers have a black rubber gasket under headlight assembly, well it used on this cadillac that I saw. It looks pretty good and it's not that noticeable. Maybe perhaps you can go this route...
If you like, I can PM you a picture or post it here...
    Let me know

I'd like to see it too.
Also, I was looking around online and saw an 80-89 caddy with caprice euro headlights in the 80-89 front clip and the bezels cut. IMO it looked really cool.....looked alot more european than the 90-92.

I was going to do this when I had those same lights, needed some modifications done and I eventually sold those lights.
Here's a picture of Caprice headlights on 80-89 front clip

    OKAY.
Here's the picture. I believe this is the first Caddy that started the whole 90d frontend on the 80s model back when the 90-92 were fairly new. Note that no side panels were used or the impact bumper strips and no Fleetwood rockers on door/under door was used. He did use the 90d taillights on this car..

I tried to resize the front half of picture to no use, so you can see it better. You'll probably have to save pic on your computer and zoom in...

What would you have to modify for them to work? (Aside from the bezels)
I'm guessing you'd have to cut up the front clip?

you have to cut out your headerpanel behind the stock headlights and you have to modify the caprice housing as well. I believe I have a link to it...

I see those euro caprices in yards here from time to time. I wonder if headlights from a euro lumina or monte, etc. would work. They're alot more common. If I could do it and be able to actually adjust them, i'd do it. But I'm not having halfassed non adjustable headlamps held in just by the bezel. Personally I like it. It makes it look like a real euro spec car

edit: wonder if silverado lights would work? looked around online and saw a couple 3rd gen f body guys put them in

    Re: 84 Coupe Deville Project

Well, no real update except that I got plates for it now. Had to combine to titles and they charged me $85 for tabs and new plates. The new high torque starter is working great so far. Now that I can drive it, I'm sure I will want to work on it. The DMV said it might have to pass an inspection and I will find out in about a month. They said either the title or the inspection notice will come in the mail. I dont have cats on it so hopefully its not the inspection notice.

I'm still having issues with the rear caliper bracket bolts, they have came off again right in front of the house and locked up the tire. One broke in half and one completely came out. Not sure that I have the right bolts in, anybody know the correct size?

    I still need some stuff:
    Top exterior windshield trim
    Center hood trim
Interior rear quarter panels in black
    Steering wheel in black

You MUST use wither new bolts from GM, or use LocTite on the bolts. New ones come with thread locker on them. The FSM specs replacement every time they are off, but if you use Loctite, you're good. I may have spares, I'll check.
