Removing vinyl roof from 1986 Fleetwood Brougham

Due to serious damage I removed the vinyl roof from my '86 and plan to paint the roof and not replace the vinyl. Since he vinyl covering was integral with a fabricated plastic moldingfor the rear window, I must now come up with a replacement type garnish molding to encircle the window. If anyone has experienced this situation and resolved the problem, please share with me your experience.

I'm going to move this to the appropriate section- you're far more likely to get answers here than in "registration help".

You need the rear window trim from a bare top 80-up RWD DeVille. You also need the rear window, and the interior trim. You will have body work to do where the 1/4 panel meets the roof. GM did no finishing work for vinyl top cars.

I have the exterior window trim from a bare top Caddy; I can get the window and the inside trim too. I know of a Caddy here locally that has it....and just like it was mentioned, you'll have to do some bodywork on the sides where the two panels meet..
