Not entirely sold on the cut fender skirts, but can never get tired of 84's/85's poking out of a late body fleetwood. 5th wheel puts it over the top. Swangin'

83s on this, have to cut the skirts for 2 reasons, going up curbs it would lean over and knock the caps loose and when i get the airbags installed it may need to get cut a lil more so the car can lay out

Nice Cadillac Fleetwood , sir. It is unique and not overly done( lift kit, dime-sized flakes).
Hmmm... i would promptly fire up the 350, and mess with your X-over and EQs to this......

Re: CadillacPimpinNOLA's 95 Fleetwood buildup 56K your computer will blow up

well, may be pulling the rims off soon and ride the factories for a while...id buy another set of rims but i have 2 trips coming up that im saving for..vegas with family beginning of october and vegas beginning of november for SEMA...plus possibly a november cruise and new york for new years...

anyway i got a flat a few weeks back and of course 24 hour progressive tow was closed...i ended up limping home about 1/2 mile. tire was destroyed...got a new tire and didnt notice any damage to the rim...

monday i had my car on the lift to change a wheel bearing on the rear and decided to check everything up front...wheel was shaking a bit...i broke about 7 spokes on the front and the one on the rear has been annoying me clacking...

thats not the worst though cuz it is still drivable

something as simple as a wheel bearing became catastrophic and left me stranded on side interstate and gave me a bunch of work today

I pull the axel out clean all fluid and such out the tube and pumpkin. change the bearing and end seal and reverse process.

all back together i take the car to lunch, ran a few errands and then back to work..I needed to g pick a gift up from the casino so after work i get on the interstate on ramp and "KABOOM" thought my wheel broke off, whole car jumped in the rear and dead it was

so i towed it back to work, got it on the lift and accessed the damage...this morning i ran to pull-a-part and thankfully the had just 1 95 fleetwood in the whole place...got underneath it and went to work...took the whole ring gear/spider gear chunk and dif cover...$51

got back to work and within a few hours had it all gutted, pinion and all, cleaned thoroughly and back together. not sure what caused it to dynamite but it sucked.

so heres a few pics i took

    original gears

    changing bearing and seal

    making a mess

    broken spokes at the hub

where the spider gear decided it would try to exit the rear cover

thats a crack by the pin

the pin is supposed to be straight

so got it all back together and its home now. need to swap to the other rims but dont want to spend the cash right now, just drive extra slow now...not how i wanted to update anything

How many miles do you have on your rims?? Mine are still good but my car sits most of the time, might have 3-4000 miles on mine with me just cruisin it around.

Must have had debris in the pumpkin for a spider gear to come apart like that... I've destroyed a few but that was going from park to drive at 5k rpm in a heavy truck. Rough roads are hard on those rims I bet let alone the bearings.

Re: CadillacPimpinNOLA's 95 Fleetwood buildup 56K your computer will blow up

the car is low miles, 51k as of now, when I got the car with 16.5k miles i drove it about 500 miles then decided to inspect the rear and changed the fluid...it was clean. when i done the wheel bearing i cleaned all fluid again, not sure where any debris may have come from. but as I said today

shit happens, cant cry about it, just fix it.

I have a big car ride then car show to goto at the end of the month. i may replace the broken wheel with a spare till it gets around show time then swap it out, do the show then pull the rims.

if vegas is good to me in october ill order another set
