since several people asked me too...ill start from the beginning, its in progress so as I do more work ill update it.

this is my 1st time seeing the car when a co-worker found it after i told him a few different models i was interested in. took a month to get in touch with him cuz no one lived at the house.

was really dirty from sitting all them years after the owner passed away. the uncle didnt want to fool with it and it wouldnt start. he said make an offer. I made an offer for $1000 how it sits with 16,495 miles on the odometer, he accepted and i towed it home a few days later. dropped the fuel tank and put a new fuel pump in, cleaned the injectors and it fired right up the first day i got it home.

then i gave it a good cleaning inside and out

started with the chrome rocker moldings

cleaned the factory dry-rotted tires and rolled them for a few months till i had a blow-out

carpet was kinda funky so i pulled it out and cleaned it, new jute and it put it back in, good time to run some wires for the radio and future stereo

cleaned up shortly after i got it, sitting next to my lil mini truck

still had the other guys handicap plate

looks pretty nice on the underside

not long after getting the car I had to change the tires and A/C compressor was leaking out the seal.

First Day of driving it i had to clean the engine. this is what it looks like 365 a year. gets a lil dusty but i just clean it again

mucho thanks, tommrow i have a good bit of work to do but ima try to get the lens glued in so i can get it in the car, then ill worry about the center section finding the right material to cover it in

the kandy effect i was going after turned out much better than I thought it would, and I didnt even test it first, i just wanted to get everything done so it was work or fail and i think it looks good,

when i get it in ill post a night time pic how it lights up...

worked my ass off today but I got some stuff done.

polished those nibs out the paint, looks great now. managed to find some free time to glue the light in. looks good. got it in the car with center piece in, still unfinished...

it was a pain in the ass to get the panel in and mount the light all at the same time but i got it done, made it alot harder than it should have cuz it was storming when i done it...because of the rain i still dont know what it looks like from the back or how it lights up...

well the last few days the casino has been pretty good to me so I treated myself to a few things for the cadillac...however for good things theres the bad

I ordered myself some lock lugs, best on the market, every lug is a lock. a lot longer to remove 5 locks per rim than 1, those are here

i ordered some adapters which will be here tomorrow or thursday

ordered some rims, the caps came in and 1 is damaged so its gonna go back soon for a swap out, rims will be here tomorrow

the bad, damn cops got me over some bullshit. i always use the auto headlights, never turn the manual headlight switch on b/c if i forget to push it in the battery will go dead, the auto switch automatically turns them off...well the valet turned the auto switch off i guess not knowing, when they pulled my car up the manual switch was on. i cant tell when my lights are on or off one these streets with those orange light bulbs, has to be dark to see my lights. anyway i pushed the switch in and assuming that the auto switch awas on cuz i always leave it on, it wasnt

heres where dickhead cop comes in. he tells me put my lights on, i do. he pulls me over anyway, gets my license and registration and removes me from the car cuz i have a gun inside...proceeds to give me a field sobriety test cuz some reason he thought i may be drunk...i passed that. he putsw my gun in the drunk and gives me 2 tickets

1. No headlights
2. driving with no insurance

i told him my insurance is in the glovebox, you didnt give me a chance to get it before ripping my ass out the car, he told me "i dont care, tell the judge" so if my family doesnt get it fixed im filing a complaint against him

I win a bunch of money and they trying to take a cut now, screw that.

heres some pics to hold ya over till tommorow for more pics...i plan to have my car 95% done in time for a carshow?event Bayou classic thanksgiving weekend so i have to get in mash mode and get some work done

i got a discount through my work and they were $60 no tax. my friend bought some somewhere else and after tax paid $150

anyway, wheels arrived today. all look great, fresh glass chrome

this is an original 15" version of the spokes that came on 1979-1983 eldorados, rivieras and toranados as a option but recalled b/c the spokes loosened up and clacked. TWW redesigned them, in different sizes. mine have a 1" longer poke than the originals...b/c its a front wheel drive rim i have to wait till my 2" adapters come in so i can properly fit them

and they will be wrapped in a fresh new set of vogue tyres. in the south we call them mustard and mayo.

decided since the extra chrome ring that you wont see the valve stem anyway so im just going to go black stem with chrome caps.

ran into yet another problem. i think they sent me the wrong lugnuts, ill find out soon. adapters came in today. $250 lighter.

few more pics, just set the cap on to see the poke these things have

2" thick

blinding

the rwd rims like these are cragar star wires...waiting for my washers to come in. they sent me 1.25" adapters instead of 2" as i was recomended by someone else. well the 1.25" seem to fit better than a 2" would...just test fitted the rear

will look way better when i wash the blue off the tires

might even add a color matched 15" dust shield behind them, not sure yet

it sucks cuz i want to put them on...ill get my valve stems tomorrow, then i can mount and balance all of them. then i have to wait on the center punch washers so i can put it all on. and when its bolted up, That means "MORE PICS"...then i can move on to doing the rear airbags and trunk

sounds like a plan. I still do the partying thing but I make money when I do that Usually...actually I start partying tomorow night, goto work, then friday and saturday more partying and sometimes a tuesday or wednesday ill be out to...i guess cause I do it cause I make money and im still fairly young.

I have a mission right now to finish most of the stuff before thanksgiving, money permitting...I think ill be done before then though.

after that I have a few cars to do. remote start alarm on my friends 05 sebring, lower and more paint work on my friends 07 chevy on 28" and same friend paint work and stereo on his 02 deville show car. after that get it to new orleans and well work a deal out.

these pics are the TV I installed 20" flipdown and some of the paint work I done. steering wheel, radio trim, panel across the windshield, A,B and C Pillars, door locks and pull handles ect. we also done the bowtie on the grill, the tailgate handle and tailgate cap

this is a truck came into my work, had white paint spots all over it, neither a claybar nor paint thinner would take it off. had to wetsand the whole truck, then compound, polish, and wax it. you can see in the first pic below the body line where i wetsanded it. the top was just compounded. the second pic is before wax

lil bit of orange peal but i wasnt trying to get that out
