since several people asked me too...ill start from the beginning, its in progress so as I do more work ill update it.

this is my 1st time seeing the car when a co-worker found it after i told him a few different models i was interested in. took a month to get in touch with him cuz no one lived at the house.

was really dirty from sitting all them years after the owner passed away. the uncle didnt want to fool with it and it wouldnt start. he said make an offer. I made an offer for $1000 how it sits with 16,495 miles on the odometer, he accepted and i towed it home a few days later. dropped the fuel tank and put a new fuel pump in, cleaned the injectors and it fired right up the first day i got it home.

then i gave it a good cleaning inside and out

started with the chrome rocker moldings

cleaned the factory dry-rotted tires and rolled them for a few months till i had a blow-out

carpet was kinda funky so i pulled it out and cleaned it, new jute and it put it back in, good time to run some wires for the radio and future stereo

cleaned up shortly after i got it, sitting next to my lil mini truck

still had the other guys handicap plate

looks pretty nice on the underside

not long after getting the car I had to change the tires and A/C compressor was leaking out the seal.

First Day of driving it i had to clean the engine. this is what it looks like 365 a year. gets a lil dusty but i just clean it again

yea everything was fine out here just needed power, we had 2 generators going running 2 small a/c window units, refrigerator, lamps, cell phone chargers...Harrahs casino sent out a msg that they was opening, i spent a few nights in there cooling off and enjoying some football on TV

as for the fleetwood, it road the storm out in the front yard...as soon as the storm passed i was hosing all the leaves and stuff stuck to it off...went to work friday to get my check before they sent us home...i cleaned under the hood, inside, outside, rims, tires and glass, had it looking new again, then saturday it rained on it...still shinning right now though

well the other day I finished the transmission, all i need to do is go buy a new torque convertor and im shooting for starting tuesday after work ill start tearing it apart and hopefully wednesday i finish it up and get it all back together just in time to test it out and then go party on the weekend

today some guy stopped me to ask who done my sound...I told him I do all my work and gave him a demo...when he got out the car he took my number and said "I want my avalanche to beat like that" I said it takes money but I can do it...think he said he wants to do 4 15"s in, TV radio and some speakers mounted on the rear roof area...fine with me, I love money

he couldnt believe it was that loud, ill post his demo when the video decides to upload

terrible, but ya gotta spend as much on your girl as you do the car if not it doesnt end well...my other money pit

heres the video since photobucket finally loaded it...i thought he was gonna cover his ear, I think he was holding his nose cuz it twitches the nostrils, he also done it with the door open so it didnt give the full pressure effect when closed up...you can see in the upper corner the windshield and sun visor flexing

my bartender and good friend Jimi stopped by so I could plug a tire for him...made him get a closed door demo to an old E-40 song "tell me when to go" dont really care for his music but it bangs really hard...he heard the trunk system and current one but with the current one the door was open and he was outside the car

Enjoy!

on break to go watch sons of guns...ok, nothing ever goes perfect...all i have left to do is remove the 3 convertor bolts, slide the jack under the trans, pull the crossmember out and drop the trans down...throw the new one on the jack and reverse the process...its doable tonight if i had some light

only problem when i was removing the bottom cooler line from the transmission to the distribution block, I couldnt see the fitting didnt break loose but started removing the fitting from the transmission itself...anyway it twisted that 5" piece of tubing. so if i cant purchase one tomorrow then ill be locating some tubing and making one

always something

found a light in the shed hidden, about to go set it up and see what i can get done...bad enough its dark out but after that hurricane, it ripped the wire out of the street light and they never fixed it yet so its extra dark...

ima try and get the new one in tonight and at least the driverside buttoned up...cant put the pass side cat on till i replace that one small cooler line.

be about 11pm when i get everything setup and jump back under there
