My 1983 Coupe deVille - 16k original miles; Now with new wheels and lowered

Thanks to all for the help you've been providing via this forum. And yes, the mileage is actual and documented. This was my father's car. He passed away 5 years ago, and my brother and I have been working to determine what to do with the car Since we're both car guys, we decided to keep it and make some minor modifications. After cleaning the gas tank and fuel system, bleeding the brakes, changing belts and hoses, replacing the headliner, new exhaust, fixing the A/C, it was time to change the looks slightly. Tinted windows, American Racing wheels, Hancook tires, and lowered the front a little over an inch to close up some of the wheel well but still keep it level. Nothing done to the car that can't be undone. It's a pleasure to drive, and this weekend I'm taking it to a local car show. For what it's worth, I also own two corvettes. A 1960 and a 2000. But I've enjoyed driving this car as much as any I've ever owned. And it's like new.

Thanks for listening. Just wanted to brag on the car a bit.

    Fine looking car.

The wheels would not be my first choice....

difficult though if you don't want to use stockers or wires like everyone else....

my old man would have loved a car like that.

Ha! I fully understand your point about it not being your first choice. Definitely different than what you see on most cars today. I struggled for a long time before I made the purchase. Since I'm an "old school" guy (55), I wanted to stay more with the hot rod look rather than than the newer styles.

Thanks for the nice comments. I appreciate it.

the car looks great. As mentioned above, not a big fan of those rims on the car but it doesn't look too bad. And as you said, It's not like you can't swap them out eventually if you find something better

I like the wheels. It makes the car look aggressive and like a die cast Hot Wheels car.

I love those wheels! Really compliments the slight front-end lowering.

Very nice, I used to have a '83 CDV too. Mine had 46k on it when I got it, but the poor thing hadn't been garaged, so it still looked it's age. I think the wheels look alright, it's a look. I'm a whitewall fan myself, though.

What percentage tint is on there?

How did I miss this thread!...I must have been on mobile ap.
Welcome glass6t that is a beautiful Cadillac. I am a big "stock" Cadillac man as anyone here can tell you, but you have really struck a wonderful balance with the mods on that.
Perfect amount of lowering and wheels and tires I would have sworn I would hate on a Cadillac had I not seen them in place. I would have never imagined that old school wheels like that would be that perfect on an old square body coupe. Not to mention "gasp" black side walls! I love it when someone dose the right, subtle, and tasteful modifications to a car.
You my freind have hit the nail on the head! You deserve to brag, more than a little bit.
    Well done!

    Enjoy rocking that marvelous ride!

Too bad he'll most likely never read that great compliment from Dave.
