here's a good one - harder springs for a 78 CDV D'E. The waftiness must be lovely in smooth countries, but in Ireland we have corners and bumpy roads, so it's like trying to steer a yacht. Thanks ever so.

If you don't mind losing the floaty ride, buy springs for either a 1994-1996 impala ss (if you want a 2" drop) or a 1991-1996 caprice 9C1 (will raise the car up at most 1"). If you want more control, go for some stiffer shocks, and add in the front sway bar bushings from a 9C1/ SS and rear swaybar from an early 90s 9C1.

Hello sir. It has the old style with the wheel. I found a 1981 Bezel online I just don't know if it will fit. Does anyone know if a 1981 radio bezel will work in a 1980? Thanks

1981 was the introduction of the digital climate control IIRC. The style with the wheel had a piece of horizontal woodgrain in the middle of the climate control area, whereas the digital climate control had a rectangular opening.

There is no such thing. The 5.7 was not in the caddy until 1990. Granted, you could probably find an 89 that someone put a 5.7 in, but there probably aren't too many of those floating around.

Re: The official PARTS FOR SALE/WANTED thread!

Greetings all. I am looking for an interior part for my '95 Fleetwood Brougham. I'm not certain I have exactly the right part name so I can snap a pic for anyone who wishes. I need the lower dash portion in front of the driver. I've always called it the kick panel but not sure that's right. My interior is the light tan so I'd prefer that color but can paint/dye if you have another color. Looking for one in excellent condition. PM me with price if you have one!

    Thanks!

Hey Kevin, your inbox is full.
I've noticed in the last little while that my Climate control programmer (module under the glove box) is starting to go south. I see you can buy them on RockAuto, but for a hefty price. Are the ones in the yards near you usually ok?

I'll pull a few for you when I go back. I don't know the condition of them, nor do I want to pull out my glovebox to test them on my car (the one part of my dash that isn't torn apart yet), but like I said, I try to get parts from the well cared for caddys.....IMO it should improve the chance that if anything electrical broke, it was fixed.

Also, I cleared a few more messages out of my inbox.

Having rear suspension problems. Think one of my air shocks is out. Ride is not smooth! Any reasonably priced alternatives to replacing the air shocks without spending to much?

Hi I am looking for a driver side seat track for my 87 brougham? Also any chance the passenger side would work as a temporary fix until I can find one? Thanks

Drivers and passengers seat frames are the same on these IIRC. Also, what is wrong with the drivers side one? If it doesn't work at all, or partially works, you may have broken wires in the drivers door jamb
