Looks like you're making good progress, Matt. She should be up and running in plenty of time for the FL meet!

I am not a monster! I was trying to get the picture in the mirror with my cell phone. I guess that's my concentration face. I do hear that a lot, though. "You look like a big mean guy." Usually by people that don't really know me. I've never heard the UFC part though. Thanks? LOL

I know you're just messing around. 'Sal good. I was just trying to be funny.

I got my new viscous clutch today! So I decided some parts installation was in order.

    First the thermostat went in:

    Then the gasket:

    My coolio golden thermostat housing:

This new clutch looks sooooo much better than the other one:

    Mmm... fresh fan paint:

And lastly, I stumbled across these on Craigslist. They were in the Cars and Trucks section, so I didn't expect to find them.

$125 for FIVE tires the EXACT size for my DeVille. I needed new ones before the trip anyways, as I think the ones on it now are origional and starting to dry-rot. I also found a lump on the sidewall, and that is never good. These have 100 miles or less on them, four match, and the other will be used as a full-size spare. They should clean up nicely. Dammit I love Craigslist!

Yeah, I agree. With the engine more assembled, the colors look a lot better.

I must agree, it's a beautiful colour choice, but I just couldn't imagine it in some cars. The fact that his car is the colours it is beans it will match, but even if somebody ever said anything about it, who gives a crap? He did what he wanted and that's what modification is all about.

She's looking nicer and nicer, be sure to give us a video when you get her running.

Matt, been following your progress some..looking good so far for you..I noticed that you are going to be using the afb carb and your 2004r transmission..you can use the afb with this trans but you have to use a special adapter for the tcv cable to work properly..the tcv cable adjustment is very crucial to keep from burning up your transmission and with the adapter plate under the afb it might require minor adjustments..didnt know if you knew this and would hate for you not to know and burn up a good tranny..keep us updated with your progress, good luck.T
