how to change interior square door lights on Brougham?

Sorry if this has already been talked about but I'd really like to change the regular yellow interior door lights [the square ones] on my 89 brougham to maybe a nice blue led or any kind of blue light. my interior is dark blue and I just had it painted metallic midnight blue so i think it would really look nice. I know how to remove the square lens and get inside the light but I've never seen a bulb like the ones that is has. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Check this weblink, it's helped me with finding my bulb #'s in the past. Should have all (most) yours listed there.

I think its the 562 bulb number?. I've also been meaning on changing mine to led's as well, but I haven't got to it yet. Should be able to get them off ebay or something.

I bought blue ones a while back from pepboys. Didn't have a problem finding them at all. They usually have an isle for stuff like that.

LOL alright alright, its raining here in fort worth texas but it wont tomorrow and it should be warm enough to wash so i'll get it done tomorrow.
pep boys has different colors??

Don't get bulbs from Pep Boys. I did the same thing on my old '88 FWD Fleetwood and was very disappointed. The bulbs at Pep Boys/Autozone are just painted. On the ones I bought the paint faded in only a few weeks and they became a nasty looking pale blue. They also were not very bright. After that I went on to Superbrightleds.com and picked up some bulbs from there (they have almost every type of bulb made). They aren't super cheap but they are 1000x better than the cheap knock-offs. Here are some pics. I even changed the bulb for the keyhole so it lit up blue at night.

I didn't own a tripod at the time so the pictures are all blurry. In real life it looked freakin awesome and I constantly got compliments on it.

I didn't mean strange like that but just the blue glow it seems to make instead of just lighting up the key lock like normal.

damn those blue leds look CLEAN, alright went to the site but I am confused on how to cross reference the bulbs, do yall think I should change all the interior bulbs to blue led's? door lights, map light[dome light between visors]? alright well first things first I def wanna change the door lights and I'm pretty sure thats the "step/courtesy lights" but the sylvania site used for cross referencing gives more than one number for the original lights, it gives 194, 168, 562, 756 . so i'm a bit stumped on what to type in to get the right bulbs?

I would use the factory manual for the bulbs. It is much more specific than the Sylvania site. Get the bulb number from the manual (preferably) or the Sylvania site (if you don't have a manual), then cross reference it here http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...bulb_cross.htm

I left the map lights in my car white and only changed the door lights and the rear sail panel lights. If anyone has ever tried, its EXTREMELY hard to read with blue light from an LED. I left them white so I could still read/see what I'm doing at night.

I was thinking the same thing. If I did it, I would do all the door lights. And you turn the dome light off to have just the colored lights on.

i would use the manual if i had one but like I said before it gives me more than one number so idk which one to use
