Fender Chrome Moldings Like many 94-96 Fleetwoods I've seen , mine has wrinkled moldings on the front and rear fenders. I guess these are plastic while the ones on the doors seem to be metal (not wrinkled). So, is there a source of replacement fender moldings, besides the junk yard? If not, how are these moldings attached? Also if there is no source, another possibility is to remove all side moldings and replace with after market stick-ons. This will require removing the door moldings as well. Does anyone know how these are attached? Thanks for your help.

Re: Fender Chrome Moldings
They're attached by a large number of plastic clips (I think it's like, five per molding or something ridiculous like that). Not sure how to take them off though.

Re: Fender Chrome Moldings
I think he's talking about the upper molding/lining above the the rocker panels.

As you can see, mine are wrinkled and chipped as well. And one is coming off, so it looks as though they are attached by plugging them in holes on the fender and screwing them on the other side. It also looks like there's an adhesive as well.

If you were to get stickers, you'd have to cover those holes, but I think stickers may look tacky. I'd just check the dealer and junkyard if I were you, and hopefully you'll stumble across a good set. Maybe even find out if you can get them made in metal, instead of plastic..

Re: Fender Chrome Moldings
Thanks guys, looks like this is a prevalent problem. I just biught a '95 with 86K. Was told it belonged to a little old man (loke me), and it hasn't even been delivered yet (snow storm).
I used stick on moldings on my Ranger which have held up for 10 years so far and look a lot better than the wrinklies. After posting I found a site that says they have the rear moldings for $140 ea.Unfortunately I lost the URL.
I am new to this organization, can someone tell me how to quick search the posts?
