If you could have any RWD Cadillacs what would you be driving?

In the spirit of Christmas wishes:

    1. If you could dream up a list of RWD Cadillacs to have under your tree what would they be?

    2. Also, please be discreet, include what other cars do you like and someday want to own in addition to our beloved Cadillacs.

    3. Then, what is your PowerBall/Lottery winner car?

This is a wish list, not what you currently own.

Here's what I'm thinking about, not necessarily in the order I like them:

    RWD Cads:
69-81 Fleetwood Brougham (I'd be happy with any!, want a 77 bad though)
    74-76 Fleetwood Talisman
75-76 Sedan deVille (love the wide open hardtop in this body style!)
    63-64 Fleetwood Sixty Special
    58 Fleetwood Sixty Special
    58 Series 62 Convertible (Hud!)
    90-92 Brougham
79 Seville Elegante (2 tone Cedar)

    Other desires:
85-86 Maserati Quattroporte (worst EPA mileage ever - 8 city, 10 hwy!)
89-99 Bentley Turbo R (club room elegance, rocket fast!)
77-80 RR Silver Wraith II (oh so classic!)
87-99 RR Silver Spur (square bodied Roller that I have loved since day 1!)
99-02 RR Silver Seraph (fun modern RR)
91-92 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce (sex on wheels!)
    83 Mercedes-Benz 240D (slow, and clacks too!)
    81-85 Mercedes-Benz 300SD (presidential yet economical)
    92-95 Mercedes-Benz 300SD/S350 Turbodiesel (the GRANDE diesel!)
    88-94 BMW 750iL (classic, gotta have a V12!)
75 Buick Electra 225 Sedan (all time favorite!)
75 Oldsmobile 98 Regency Sedan (second all time favorite!)
    76 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Coupe
75 Pontiac Grand Ville Brougham Convertible
    75-76 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible
    77-78 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz (delicious!)

    Lotto:
    10 RR Phantom Extended Wheelbase

I forgot, love the Cadillac Factory Limousines - 1975 through 1984. In the spirit of Craig I'd take a mini 1985-87 Cad factory limo for the novelty of it all.

Re: If you could have any RWD Cadillacs what would you be driving?

I'd like to add an 80 or 81 Cadillac DeVille LeCabriolet. 57 Eldorado Brougham would be nice, too

    Lotto time?
Ferarri 250 GTO to start. After that, whatever I could find until the garage was full. Too many to list, really...

Re: If you could have any RWD Cadillacs what would you be driving?

    Cool thread Dave!

    RWD Cads:

1980-85 Fleetwood Brougham Coupe D'Elegance (I normally despise the HT4100, but I'd put up with it in one of these)
1979-84 DeVille D'Elegance (prefer the coupe)
    1990-92 Brougham D'Elegance (avoid the 307, need the 305 or 350)
    1994-96 Fleetwood Brougham
1974-76 Fleetwood Talisman (like the '74's interior the most, but I think that the 75-76's have a nicer front fascia)
    1979 Fleetwood Brougham D'Elegance
1968 Fleetwood Brougham or Sixty Special (love the aggressive look of the 67-68's, but prefer the 472)
    1975-76 Coupe deVille D'Elegance
1972-73 DeVille or Fleetwood Brougham (I don't like how the '71's have the parking lamps in the front bumper)
    1969 Sedan deVille Hardtop
    1963-64 Fleetwood Sixty Special
1957-60 Eldorado Brougham (prefer the 59-60's)
    2009+ CTS-V

Other cars I desire in my stable:

    1999-00 Cadillac Escalade
    1993-95 Cadillac Seville STS
    2000-03 Cadillac Seville STS
    2000-02 Cadillac Eldorado ETC
1983 Oldsmobile Toronado Caliente (Caliente was the sporty package, which included a digital dash and suede/pigskin seats)
    1979-85 Buick Riviera T-Type
1979-85 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz (again, avoid the HT4100)
1977-84 Buick Electra Park Avenue (grandpa and grandma had one of these before their '92 Roadmaster Limited)
1977-84 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight Regency Brougham (these are nice too, but I prefer the Electras)
1958-60 Lincoln Continental Mark III/IV/V Hardtop Sedan
    1963-64 Lincoln Continental
    1968.5-71 Lincoln Continental Mark III
    1972-76 Lincoln Continental Mark IV
1977-78 Lincoln Continental Mark V (want to avoid the 400cid that was unavoidable in '79)

    1995-96 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC
1986-91 Mercedes Benz 560SEL/560SEC (M-B's best design ever)
1997-99 Mercedes Benz S500/S600 Sedan (the coupes never looked as nice IMO)

    2003-06 Mercedes Benz S500/S55/S600
2008+ Mercedes Benz S/CL Class (aside from the new S400 hybrid)
1998-01 BMW 740iL (do not want BMW's V-12. Less reliable than M-B's and less powerful)
    2002-05 BMW 330Xi
    2000-03 BMW 540i
    1976-90 Aston Martin Lagonda
    ANY Lamborghini
    1998-00 Lexus LS400
    2008+ Lexus LS460L (NOT that hybrid LS600hL)
    1998-02 Jaguar Vanden Plas
    2011 Jaguar XJ
    1990-96 Infiniti Q45
    1995-99 Buick Riviera

I think I'll stop there. This could go on for days.

Re: If you could have any RWD Cadillacs what would you be driving?

Aston Martin Lagonda FTW! A neighbor of mine had one. At first I thought it was smooshed. But it grew on me after seeing it every day I guess.

    Okay.... here we go.

    My list of dream cars:
    General Motors
MY 1994 Fleetwood Brougham (you know, like, actually running)
2006 Corvette Z06 (Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic FTW)
    2009+ Corvette ZR1 (Yes, I love Corvettes)
1963 Corvette Sting Ray coupe (Split windows, anybody?)
    C3 427 Corvette (Yeeeah buddy)
1969 COPO Camaro (I'll never find one, but a guy can dream )
    Pontiac Trans Am SD 455
1970 Buick GSX Stage I (more torque than any other American car. Ever.)
1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme (without a vinyl top. It's a personal thing)
1987 Buick GNX (who doesn't want one of these?)
    C4 Corvette ZR1
    Pontiac G8 GXP
That awesome triple orange Fleetwood (Yes Dave, I love it)
    Cadillac XLR-V
    2009+ Cadillac CTS-V

    Non-GM
Audi S6 Avant (Come on... 500+ horsepower wagon? Coolest soccer dad ever. AND IT COMES IN ORANGE!)
    Lamborghini Diablo SV (Boyhood love)
    Ferrari 458 Italia
    Ferrari Enzo
    Pagani Zonda F
Bugatti Veyron 16.4 (Another 'who doesn't want one?' car)
    Koenigsegg CCX
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG (That thing is GORGEOUS)
    Aston Martin Rapide
TVR Speed 12 (Impossible, probably, but still cool)
Lincoln LS V8 (I don't know, I always thought it was a good looking car.)
Nissan Skyline R34 (It may be a plastic toy, but it'd be a fun one.)
    Saleen S7 TT
SSC Ultimate Aero (Who doesn't want the fastest thing on planet Earth?)
    Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione
Detomaso Pantera (I fell in love with that car at a car show last year)
1995 Mazda RX7 (Rotary powah! And probably the only Japanese car to make my list)
    Ariel Atom
Audi R8 5.2 FSI (Droolworthy every day)
McLaren F1 (Fastest N/A car ever. Plus, that third seat is cool)

Seriously... there are more. Those are just off the top of my head. If I ever get rich, I'm going to need a second house... then need to gut it, and turn it into a garage.

Re: If you could have any RWD Cadillacs what would you be driving?

Wow!!! You guys have some interesting cars that you think about!!! Chad, you and I think about many of the same GM cars. I love Electras, 98's, big Cads and all the classic American tubs! Sven, I also love those 77-79 hearses with the unique landau windows. When I go into the funeral biz I'd love to have a fleet with 1977 hearse plus matching 77 Cad factory limo & 77 Fleetwood Brougham! Sting, I knew you were whipped when you saw that orange Talisman and the orgasm that followed! Do you play the piano well and like oversized diamonds and nine mile long fur coats? CS, you won't need that big of a garage...are you sure that's your whole list??

I'm forgetting I love the 1935-40 Cadillac Fleetwood Town Car. I'd love to have all the mechanicals from a brand new modern GM truck but have the car look completely original.

Re: If you could have any RWD Cadillacs what would you be driving?

    My list is short.

    1968 CDV conv.
    1976 Talisman.
1980 Brougham Coupe D'elegance, (don't tell my '81) with an astroroof.
1980 Le'Cab with the full '90 chassis, body and drivetrain swap. I'd have to buy it done, because I couldn't bring myself to alter such a piece of history.

1972 Ferrari Daytona Spyder, like my all time favorite detective Sonny Crockett or possibly his later season Ferrari. I already have the Wayfarers.

Those Maybachs are interesting, maybe one of them (assuming they are RWD).

Re: If you could have any RWD Cadillacs what would you be driving?

I have a relatively limited window of cars I truly love, and I've scratched most of those itches at this point. The stuff of my dreams is not all that unattainable, just very rare to find in decent shape.

I'd love to have a '75/'76 Calais in Cotillion White with the red/white/blue plaid interior. A '76 Fleetwood wagon would be fantastic.

Re: If you could have any RWD Cadillacs what would you be driving?

I havent got a chance to really experience alot of classic cars yet. I do like New Yorkers, caprices and huge cars of the same. I love muscle cars like chevelles and cutlasses but they are still second to Cadillac. I would have a big fleet but the rest would have to be looked at first, but Im pretty sure a '71ish Chevelle would make it in the garage. Bro, I would love to see a funeral home with classic Cadillacs. What color would you paint them?

    More from me.

    Sports Cars:
Bugatti Veyron (because, seriously, who wouldn't want one?)
Ferrari 458 Italia (the best looking Ferrari ever)
    Aston Martin DB9
1990-95 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 (C4 FTW, 32 Valve DOHC 5.7 FTMFW, and I'm not even a Corvette kinda guy)
    1993-97 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
    1993-97 Pontiac Trans Am
1990-92 Pontiac Trans Am GTA (has to have the TPI 5.7 and four speed automatic)
    2010+ Chevrolet Camaro SS/RS
1997-99 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 (one of the coolest Japanese cars ever)
1993-98 Toyota Supra Turbo (without a doubt, the coolest Japanese car ever. Tough part is finding one that's clean and unmolested)
    Koenegsigg CCX
Volvo C30 (yeah it's a little effeminate, but it's the coolest car in it's class. Cool swedish design and luxury, and with that I-5 turbo, pretty quick)

    Luxury cars:
    2010 Maybach Zeppelin
Volkswagen Phaeton W12 (the ONLY Volkswagen I'd ever buy, and I'd think long and hard before I bought it)
"They call Alabama the Crimson Tide, call me Deacon Blues."

    Current:
1992 Lincoln Town Car Cartier Edition (5/14- ?)
2014 Honda Accord LX MTX Sedan (1/14 -?)

    Past:
    1995 Buick Roadmaster Limited (4/04-12/04)

Re: If you could have any RWD Cadillacs what would you be driving?

I'll keep it short to just Cadillacs:

1961 Cadillac hearse(wild looking hearse IMO)
    1956 Coupe Deville
    1959 Convertible
    1949 Fleetwood 75
    1968 Sedan Deville
    1970 Deville convertible(triple white)
    1980 Fleetwood Brougham coupe(with a LS3 under the hood)
    1963 Coupe Deville
    1976 Fleetwood Brougham
    1968 Eldorado
    2010 CTS-V

That's a short list off the top of my head.

CS: Something very, very tropical and Florida, perhaps a pastel cream with a slightly darker rich and creamy contrasting top, or a pale aqua - something fun! All cars would be coordinated and I think it would be the talk of the town!

Chad, I love that Maybach! If only they had made it perhaps that brand would have relevance! I love the VW Phaeton!! I agree that the W-12 is the only way to go if you're going down that road!

Bi, You're a Calais guy?! They sure are rare and I agree about the plaid interior - it's cool! The deVille had plaids in the same years - do you like those as well?

AngryM, I'll take your V6 Fleetwood Brougham Coupe if you put it up for adoption!

Did everyone have a merry Christmas?
