Re: Marvel Mystery Oil?

My uncle who has been a Cadillac fan since the late 60s swears up and down by this stuff. It's good for the gas, and for the oil too. I like to dump a bottle in some time before I change the oil. It helps get some of sludge out.

Re: Marvel Mystery Oil?

I add a bit of MMO to the gas when I fill up my '69. Helps compensate for all the ethanol and prevents vapor lock.

Re: Marvel Mystery Oil?

I used MMO all the time. Keeps my fuel and oil clean. I highly recommend this stuff.

Re: Marvel Mystery Oil?

Once in a blue moon I will use it, after a thousand or so miles the oil looks pretty nasty, not sure from cleaning or from the MMO sludging, being I am using synthetic it isn't.

1-2K before oil change probably isn't a bad idea....

Re: Marvel Mystery Oil?

I use LucasOil stabilizer with every oil change, and I like it. The engine sounds smoother on cold starts, and it really slows the leaky base pan I have.

Re: Marvel Mystery Oil?

So would you guys recommend dumping one full bottle in the gas tank every some thousand miles?..and another full bottle in the oil crankcase before an oil change?
