This car looks like a sophisticated ghetto jet and I'd love to have it! I would put some wheels on it eventually but as it sits it has a very masculine stance - - kind of like it's been around the block and has a few tattoos but man is it cool! |

Nice color too I think. |

I think it looks good with the steelie wheelies too. I have 2 hub-caps for it, but until I get 4 caps, I won't put them on. I can't stand a car that is missing one or two hub-caps, and would just rather all of them be off then. I do have some semi-gloss black paint in the garage. Hmm... I might have to go play artist with the wheels at some point. I hope to wash the car some time this weekend. I finally got the hood open today! The cable for the latch is all stretched out, so I couldn't pop it open. I got under it and unbolted the grill, and then the hood latch. It didn't take long at all. I love the air-cleaner-lid that proudly proclaims that it has a 350 wing-nutted to the botton of it. I also topped off the level in the battery and am hoping it will hold a charge. Lastly for tonight, and to solve the paint-color debacle, where should I look for the paint number everyone is talking about? Thanks guys, you rule!

You've got a heavy-duty, mean Cadillac, man. Drive it like you're the king of the road... because you will be.
and to sven914: I've said it before and I'll say it again: Steelies (especially with clean whitewalls), are badass: |

I can't believe that thing held a charge. The origional radio works! Now it just needs an antenna. Anyways, the car started up, and as before, it smokes worse than a tire fire. It needs a new exhaust, as it is the only rotten part on the car. The blown heads don't help. It was also smoking from under the hood. I looked, and I found what looks like part of the PCV system unplugged. It was blowing oil out in a fine vapor/mist. Anybody have an idea as to what this is? Can I just plug it back together, or is it more than that? Thanks, and here are the pics.

Also, since the exhaust system needs to be replaced, I'm thinking about true dual exhaust. Would this represent any significant power gains? The stock stuff looks pretty constricting. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

If you got duals, most of your power gain would be at higher RPM like on the highway. Duals sound so nice. 2 1/2" mini turbo with the tips barely showing... |

Just updating a little bit. I'm in the process of taking the heads off for the valve job. I bought my head-gasket kit today as well. I'm just about down to the intake itself. Tomorrow I'm removing it, the A/C compressor, and the P/S pump. Then it's just a matter of unbolting the heads and taking them to school with me. Not as hard to do as I thought. I just have to remove 1 broken bolt so far. One of the studs that holds the thermostat housing on. Not bad for a 19-year-old car with a gross cooling system. I can take it to the speed-shop around the corner and have it removed. I don't want to make it worse... |

I'm in the midst of a lovely Michigan fall, and it has done nothing but rain and be cold here for the past week and a half. It's supposed to clear up (or at least stop raining) tomorrow, and I hope to make some progress. I'll be sure to get some pics. (Please don't smite me Stingroo! ) |

lol I hate rain like that, yesterday I was about to leave my dorm for dinner, so I get my keys and go downstairs, but I forgot my wallet, so I walk back up, run in, get it, and go back downstairs and in that short say.. 2 minutes, it started POURING rain. Florida sucks like that too. |
