If that is antifreeze, do repair immediately. You might prevent antifreeze from getting into opti spark by acting quickly.

Could be the radiator if, the plastic side tanks are notorious for leaking. I had this happen to my 1996 and 1995 Fleetwood.

Post some pics if you can.
And clearish = power steering fluid. That's what mine was leaking when I got my Fleetwood.

Re: 93-96 Fleetwood owners opinion

I will post some pics when i get my camera back this weekend. As for the leak, i still haven't had time to check it yet. I am pretty sure it is motor oil leaking. I plan on taking a look at it this weekend.

Side Note: I bought it from a wholesale dealer about 30min. away. I paid <$5K for a sweet car with ~65kmiles.

Wow----5k for a Fleetwood with 65k miles--good deal! Every Fleetwood i`ve seen online with between 55k to 70k miles is in the $7500 to $9000 range.
If you find it`s an oil leak---check the oil pan "gasket" for sure and make sure the oil pan drain plug is tight.
Good luck with it!

Re: 93-96 Fleetwood owners opinion

BEAUTIFUL!!!! I can hardly wait to get one. BTW, does anyone know where the differences of the 94-96 FWBs might be listed and/or pictured? I know most of the differences are subtle, but I still want to know. It may broaden my options while shopping for one.

94 only had 3 different lumbar switches on the seats, but they all pretty much do the same thing, I could never really feel a difference. Maybe others could. The 94's also had the side mirrors attached to the door, not the window. 96 had revised cupholders in the center console. Other than that, I can't think of much else.

Beautiful FWB by the way!! Nice color, just needs some whitewalls.

Brian

Re: 93-96 Fleetwood owners opinion

94s had a straight up on/off solenoid for TCC lock-up. 95+ had PWM solenoid for TCC Lock-up. My research and common opinion says 94 transmission is preferred.

Also, OBD-II in the 96 is probably better than the OBD-I systems that preceded them.

Re: 93-96 Fleetwood owners opinion

A friend of mine has a good theory on why the window rollers break, he agrees the strong motor, but the culprit he thinks is the rubber on the side on cars that becomes sticky and hangs onto the glass and starts putting side load on the glass and the rolllers start taking a hit because of excessive side loads.

Not sure, my FWB has what I believe are stock rollers... And still good....

Power window motors are usually strong, it is the window rollers that break first.

All three Broughams ('95, '96, '96) I owned had working power seats! The 68K mile '93 Brougham I am looking to buy currently only has the passenger heated seat working.
