1991 brougham headlight housing replacement

Does any one know if the headlight system for 1991 brougham can be changed to a 80's style headlight?

you would have to change the whole front clip I believe

I've seen 90's headlights on 80's Cads without changing the front clip. They keep the bumper, but replace the header panel. I've never seen it done the other way around, since most folks prefer the newer design.
