blower issues / 1989 Brougham Hola Listeros,
The blower on my '89 Brougham has an on/off habit of working. Either it's a normal blast of air; or none at all except at driving speeds of 30+ mph. There's a moderate airflow at that time, but none when idling or at slower driving speed. When started at normal idle, the air blows for about 4 seconds before slowing to a trickle.
Has anyone had this happen before? If so, any idea as to what causes/caused it? I replaced the blower other day, no difference noted.
I'm happy to note that otherwise she's a very well behaved Caddy

Could be the AC power module. Facing car, located to the right of blower motor on top of evaporator case. 89 I bought, blower started working intermittently. My brother has the car in Vegas at the moment and he pulled the connector pack from the module, cleaned the connections and the ground and its worked normally ever since. Pricey part if replaced with new. About 2 bills at Rock auto. Heres a link to a picture.

Cleaning the connections is worth a try, at least!
Is a special tool needed for cleaning inside connector holes? The price for an A/C power module makes the auto recyclers look like a fair bet, but dirty connectors sure look likely!

No special tool needed. Brother just blew them out with compressed air. Check for a seperate ground wire, might be all that needs cleaning as well.

OK, thanx for the info. I'll give the compressed air a try & use an eraser on any exposed areas like the grounding connection. There's a definite ground wire, so will be sure to clean that up as well.
Thanks again, info is much welcomed =)

I tried all the tricks mentioned, as it turns out the control module will need replacing

... on the upside, I found one for $160.00 at http://www.autopartsgiant.com ... crossing all fingers that will finally fix the prob.
