Two Limos

I have noticed a '95, '96 or '97 Lincoln stretch limousine parked on a nearby street in a residential area. I am beginning to think that someone bought (not rented) it and plans to keep it at his house. It has been there about two weeks already.

Today, I drove my '76 Cadillac limo so I pulled up to the Lincoln limo and took these photos. They look very good together.

Re: Two Limos

Motor in the Lincoln is probably that 4.6 POS...at least that's what's in the limos I drive for a living and they are even newer towncars....03 04 style.

Re: Two Limos

Yeah they ran that from 91 on. There are many Ford Modular Engine family fans, though, so don't tell them it's a POS...even though it is, at least compared to......uh, any chevy small block.

Re: Two Limos

I call it a POS in comparison to the 302 5.0 that has been in both my Grand Marquis's

Re: Two Limos

I have read that the 4.6 L (281-cu-in) engine is very good. Reliable and lasts a long time. That is why taxi companies and the police use Ford Crown Vics with that engine.

2nd that. I've owned two Towncars (one a '94 and one a '97) with the 4.6L engine. Both went high mileage. The transmissions go before the engines do.
