thank you, thats just what i was hoping for!, I know opinions are like a$$hls, but seriously the 93-96 fltwd brhms are the pinnacles of the cadillacs(again in my opinion) I have owned many many caddy's over the years, waaay too many to try to list, none have come close to the overall satisfaction I get from the last real cadillac, ok maybe the 70 triple black eldo i had was close, because of its performance and looks, but the mid 70's -92 caddy's where just played out too long, dont get me wrong I still love them, but they ain't nuttin like the 93-(94to96) fleetwoods, hope Im not offending anyone, (probably), the last fleetwoods always reminded me of the early 70's imperials, (ok now ive really done it), Im sure you can gather from my forum handle, that im a mopar guy, but Ive always had caddy's along side my muscle cars,... back to topic, I friggin love the looks of that concept car, since someone mentioned, i do see the chevy caprice more in it now, but it looks so futuristic, top speed 180 mph,, my fleetwood cuts (governed)out at around 106
Looking like a Fleetwood just brings some feathers on Deville's caps but when you put those cars side by side you can easily understand which one is RWD FLEETWOOD
Exactly right------I had my '95 Deville parked way out in our local grocery store`s parking lot the other day and when i came back out after shopping there was a '96 Fleetwood parked a respectable parking space away from mine.I always wanted to see the 15" longer length of a Fleetwood up close,so i parked a bit closer to the FWB and lined up the front end so both were equal and stood back a bit. There`s no doubt the extra length is in the slightly longer engine compartment and longer rear end.
I never could figure out why the longer FWB`s never had "concealed" wipers while the Deville`s had them.
I`ve always loved the body styles of the "94-"96 Deville`s and FWB`s-----both very similar---they both had a relatively short run.
Hey, the specs on that seemed to indicate the NorthStar was the intended engine!
Yeah, this concept had nothing to do with anything B or D body. It was a FWD-based AWD iteration with the 4.5L...think of Deville guts of the time, but with AWD thrown in.
The overall look (not direct, of course) in most of the details is what translated to the '93 Fleetwood, actually. It was a case of trying to take a lot of those cues and fit them as best as possible on a car that used the same guts since '77 and also used direct swap parts for the Caprice/Roadmaster. The '93 Fleetwood was the result, still a big, hulking, RWD, framed monster, and not exactly svelte.
But the details are there...from the lower silver/chrome and rub strip, the grille, the general shape, and even things like the flat dash face with a thin wood/detail strip at the top below the dash pad.

I dunno...I like the 90's Devilles, but I do not like the '94--> FWB's at all. They look so boaty. I mean, my 90 is big, but the lines are perfect. The newer ones look like a Caprice with half-deville taillights that look rediculous...lol On the whole, I think the late 80's Deville's and forward represent the new generation for Cadillacs that I don't care for too much: no/little chrome, indistinguishable, rounded lines. I mean, people are restoring up to '93 FWB's. But who will restore a '95, except maybe for the drivetrain? (And who would ever restore an '05 DTS???) In my opinion, cars have less and less character every year. Soon, there will be one car to "choose" from: a shapeless, generic "car" looking thing that everybody else drives too.
the gist....persoanlly, I don't care for the newer FWB's.

'80-92 Fleetwood/Broughams have the best tail light design I should say .Again '80-89 era RWD Fleetwood / Broughams have more elegant to sides but front end gets the best 1993-96 Fleets .
Overall ? '94-96 Fleets
