Rear filler panel kit arrived today !

Hey Guyz,
I just received my rear panel filler kit for my Coupe.
Paid $309 delivered, now lets see if it fits.
Here is a picture of my Coupe before and I will post pictures after I get
the parts put on

Ok, here it is.
The kit was pretty easy to install, and thats coming
from a Guy with little patience !
I had to bore out a couple holes for a couple panels
to fit correctly, but all in all I am a happy Cadillac owner
once again.
Now if I can get this baby painted and a new top along with some
fat 3-4" whitewalls I will be back in the saddle.

I Would rate this rear panel filler kit a 9+ out of a 1-10 and will sure work good until I find good used originals....

are they supposed to look like they are draped on there?

And what exactly is the point of them? Does it fix cancer or something?

They replace the real fillers that were made of rubber that crack and waste away from sun and age, the stocks just don't last unless they are garaged all the time.
Look at the 1st picture in this post and you will see the missing part...

I wouldn't bother finding originals. They will just crack again. Those will look great painted. Call it a day!

Ya I hear you, I would like to have originals on hand for if I ever want to put it back to 100% original.
These are a godsend thats for sure.....

The originals were outlined in a shiny chrome like band, is there a replacement available for that as well?

No, the kit came with that cheap plastic chrome strip that
you put on the edge of a door, etc. that I just left off.
I have one side of original trim and looking for the other side before I put them on.
