What do you guys think of 2k for this vehicle. No rust, runs great. 76k on odometer. Only flaw is broken rear small window where someone tried to break in. Gold package. Not real fond of the continental package but I can always swap the grill. Vinyl top is flawless. Hood ornament is missing though. One odd thing though is that the blower doesnt work. Owner swore it was working when he parked it. Air conditioning is cold but would need to find out why blower crapped out.http://s291.photobucket.com/albums/l...=nav_tab_album
Eh, two grand seems a bit much for that car. I bought my '90 Brougham for $1750, and nothing was broken and the paint was fantastic. I've never been a fan of the Vogue dealer wheels, but I suppose that's a personal preference. This just looks a little "tired" for the money. I think $1000 would be more doable, and it would be a good deal. $1500 tops in my book, though.
As for that air blower motor, don't worry about it. They all go out eventually, especially if the car sits for a period of time. I've had two cars that needed it replaced - no biggie. It's about $10 at any autoparts store, and an easy install. Just two screws, one plug, and five minutes later you're in business!
I don't think $2,000 is bad at all... I like it. Of course $1,500 would be better, but you can't shop these cars like you used to. 76K makes a big difference. I just sold my '87 w/ around 70K for $2,500, and it didn't look near as good as that... Of course, it was a white leather car, but NEEDED paint and fillers. But still, I think that's a lot of car for $2,000 or less.
BTW, it may be the blower motor... or it also may be the Control module that is recessed into the firewall. They are bad to go out on those cars too. But if the air is cold, it couldn't be much.
I'd be more keen on paying $1500 for it but, with the lessening numbers of good condition fleetwoods out there, beggars can't be choosers. I'd go for it
Pulled the trigger on the 89 Brougham in Vegas. My brother picked it up for me yesterday. Anyone ever change out one of those rear quarter windows. Just trying to figure best options. Will post some more pics when I get them. Says its clean as a whistle other than the broken glass.
Nice vehicle but 2000 is a bit much, even up here where rust comes standard. Be careful with that window, I broke the inside suround trying to swap. You should do a carfax to see if the miles are correct and how many owners.
Did run a carfax on it. Guy I bought it from was 2nd owner. He bought it from friend who originally purchased from some big cadillac dealership in Vegas. Miles are correct according to carfax.
Thanks, I will definitely do that. Unfortunately I wont have the car for 3 months. My brother is driving it from Vegas when he comes here on vacation. He likes the car so much after driving it around hes offered me 2100 if I leave it with him. Also the blower motor started working again. Not sure whats up with that but Ill take it.
