But I don't much care for all the "bling" like the grill, the conti kit, and canvas top, the gold kit, and the white leather. Besides, 2 doors gets annoying when you have passengers. I just prefer the regal-ness of a 4 door rear-wheel-drive sedan. Though I wouldn't mind an '80 FWBC.
But it did have some major power and got 30+ mpg's on the highway with about 20 in town. I know the big Broughams don't get that, but hopefully a 350 Brougham will have similar power. Any comparison folks out there?
I really bought it only because it was so cheap, and so I could turn around and get more doe for a Brougham like the one I posted above. Gotta love those wires on a triple-black d'E with sunroof!

| | Cadillac Owners Fanatic Cadillac(s): 1990 Cadillac Brougham | | | | | Re: Make a sitcky for found RWD Cads for sale? Hey man, I had my Brougham same time as my wife had her '90 deville. Even when I had the 700-R trans instead of the Turbo 350 (which has a higher 1st gear), she could still get off the line faster. I think the Devillle is that much lighter, and the rear end of the Brougham sucks. On the other hand, the 350 Brougham isn't gutless, either, like the 305. You are right about the value. DeVille's just don't hold value, and they don't seem to last as long, and the 4.5/4.9 engines are supposedly infamous for blowing head gaskets. I believe they have aluminum heads with cast inserts. The Brougham definitely holds the road better. Though it won't drive in snow very well like the DeVille, it won't roll around corners like the DeVille. I could never get either of the DeVille's I owned to get more than 23MPG AVG on the highway at best. My brougham needs to be tuned, but even without overdrive, I get 17MPG on the highway, and much less around town. Hope this gives you a bit of comparison.
p.s. The DeVille's are also a pain in the rear to work on, since the engine is PACKED in there, just like all the newer Caddy's. The Brougham has been fairly easy to work on, being the larger body gives more room for access.
