All power windows and locks work. Car has original keyless entry (two sets). Needs bushing replaced before long road trip.
| This '79 coupe is just one block away from me; I might even had looked at it if she were 1/2 the asking price, but I bet he'd take 1500 anyway, though I wouldn't give more than 1K. Looks like it needs a top and paint, but I bet Ben could shine her right up! Hmm, original keyless. That's almost as dumb as the guy saying "whoa, dude, i didn't even know they had power windows in the 80's" ...lol http://dallas.craigslist.org/car/536446195.html |

Now THAT is a hooptie. "one of the rare 2-door models" please, they made around twice as many coupes as sedans. And he should be more than ashamed to say he owned that bucket for ten years considering how it looks now. |

Here's a diesel coupe. Looks pretty nice, and I think having a diesel Caddy would be cool too. Folks here that diesel rumble then see a luxury guzzler. Nope, 27 mpg! (if he isn't fudging a little) Also I like the full vinyl. Is that custom? 'Cause it sure looks original and nice. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Rare-...ayphotohosting
(p.s. We may as well sticky this thread since it hangs around for so long...lol) |

A friend of mine said with the 82 Old Wagon his dad had and the 79 98 Regency both with the 5.7L Diesel they were both good for 32-35 highway at 65 mph. Slower is better on these babies....
But once the 98's 5.7L tossed #1 rod, well, the tri-power 455 Olds went in..... That was a LOT more fun!!! and diesel badges to boot!!! |

Very cool. I've got to find one of those. Anybody have info on them? I've only seen three or four ever.

To me, for a late '70s Caddy to look 100% right, it has to have the original-look 1.3" whitewalls. I didn't even notice until after I bought the Phaeton and I was looking at it thinking 'something just isn't right' after looking through stock photos and old movie stills I realised the whitewall was the problem. Don't get me wrong, 0.75s are fine on mid-80s on up Cars, but before that, ya gotta go original to get the whole look.
...Too bad they're scarce as a hooker in a confessional anymore though.

My 76 Olds Delta 88 had em, loved em..... My 80 T/A had them on when I got the car!!! It didn't look bad, there was a cute (adorable) girl up the road with a base V6 Firebird that was a near twin to my Turbo T/A, same Rally II wheels with 1.3" WW's..... Wish I would have got pictures taken together..... yeah.... the cars too..... |

Here's a flower car made from a coupe this time. I guess they're normally made from sedans, but I've seen a few of these before. What'd be cool is a full-fledged hearse coupe. http://dallas.craigslist.org/car/545712950.html | | Tags | 1994, cad, cads, find, fleetwood, found, make, post, rwd, sale, sedan, sitcky, touring | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
