My car is published in a UK magazine!!

Hi guys. Some news for my fellow enthusiasts. I think I told some of you about this earlier. Finally the article featuring my 1996 has been published!

It's in a UK magazine called "Classic American", which is a popular magazine for British folks who appreciate American cars. The circulation is around 18,500. A freelance writer here in Canada was looking for a clean "enthusiast-owned" model for the article. In spring he came over and took hundreds of pics of my car.

At the link below you can see a preview. Wait for it to load, then click on the bottom right corner of the magazine page. Then click a few times and you'll launch this cool little page-turning application. There are no page numbers but if you count, my car is on page 8 (Jay Leno is on page 5 with one of his cars!).

Unfortunately you can't read the text because it's just a preview. I suspect the real article is longer. If anyone is in the UK, please try to pick one up and tell us what the article says! As soon as I get a copy I'll try to have it scanned in and email it around. I'm also going to ask the publisher for a pdf version.

That is awesome man! Being in a magazine is like one of the highest priveledges a man's ride can get! But which car is it? I thought you said earlier it was your '68, but the Roadmaster is on page 8.

No it's the RM. So obviously I run the risk of being OT and getting bumped to the Lounge. But I figured you RWD guys would be more appreciative and maybe moderators will let it slide. Here are some pics I took myself when the photographer came. His pics are better but as you can see she did shine that day. I am hoping that the 68 appeared in the background somewhere in the final article but I guess that's up to the editor!

Your RM is the same color mine was....Dark Cherry Metallic. Very nice color indeed!

Thanks everyone. Lemme tell you I got more comments and kudos over here than on the Roadmaster (Impala SS) board. Must be jealousy!!

Anyway my aunt in the UK just told me they found the article and she called it great, with 17 pics of my car!! Local newsstand only had one copy and they're sending it to me. But I still haven't seen it. Please any of you UK members find one and scan... or at least tell us the highlights.

Oh and thanks also for the clean car comments. Believe it or not it's my driver. But considering it was the RM's day to shine I paid $375 for a complete detailing. She deserves it.
