window stop lamp bulb removal

okay so ive got a 1985 brougham and the stop lamp that goes in the window went out. i went and got some replacement bulbs to stick in but the bulb does not want to come out of the assembly.



ive pulled and twisted a bunch but i dont want to break it and have it be REALLY hard to get out. any ideas? thanks

My '85 doesnt have and never came with a stop light/3rd brake light in the rear window. Weird. Maybe it was an option?

yeah it was the first year it was an option... in 87 or something didnt they make it standard?
