Through 1976 full size rear drive Cadillacs had a box section frame; in 1977, they began using "C-channel" beams from the firewall to the rear axle arch, and a box section from the axle arch back. The frame should be fine for what the car was originally intended for. The Seventy Fives are pillared bodies, so if they are rust free, they are generally strong. I can't speak about hydraulics or air bags, but the '71-'76 frames are built more heavily than the '77-96 chassis. |
