Friend or not, she hit you, youe vehicle was damaged, you were not at fault, you ALWAYS get a police report and always do the insurance swapping thing. I know how it is man, I messed up my front end sliding on ice and rear ending a pick up. I was sick over it, still need to get it fixed tho.

Elvis said it nicely, and I second those sentiments! The problem is they are family, so you don't want to stirr up emotions or trouble? Right? The bright side is they offered to pay for it, so take it in to a good body shop or ?, get an estimate, and have them pay for it. Keep us updated!

I'm going to get in touch with this guy I know that manages a body shop. I still can't believe it. I drive all over the place; I was Upstate just this weekend, then Long Island, Yonkers, and I get hit in front of my house of all places. I found out that the loser doesn't even have a license. My parents don't want me filing any paperwork. I'm probably just gonna end up getting screwed in the end.

Is the car in your name? Is the insuarnce in your name? If it is then screw what your parents say and file the paper work, that way you dont get screwed at all.
