| | | Not a Fleetwood... but very close? Well I convinced my brother to get into the B body game. His last couple of cars were: 2003 Cadillac DTS, 2002 Escalade, 2004 Cadillac SLS
He wanted something cheap & reliable and to have no car payment....
So, we made a deal for a 1994 Roadmaster. 1 owner car, all records, 50K original miles.
We got it for $3,500, is that a good deal?
The car does have keyless entry, power seat, electronic climate control, concert sound II, dynaride, blah blah blah.
Here are a few pics:
We looked for a '94-'96 Fleetwood, but this car was just too clean to pass up.
He is getting a set of OEM Roadmaster alloy wheels with white wall tires next week.
Take care,
Elias |

| | | Re: Not a Fleetwood... but very close? Yep, I was glad to hear this on ISSF--very good work on the convert, especially after that other string of car's he's gone through
Maybe not as overly nice as a Fleetwood, or unique, but the Roadmaster is an extremely respectable car and still a lot more upmarket from the Caprice--plus, at least in my experiences, is better screwed together and "thick" feeling than a Fleetwood, at least a little.
Once the wheels are changed, maybe he can start other little mods after time, and get it in similar territory to your car as far as feel. The main downfalls would be that standard FE1 Dynaride slush suspension and the base 2:56 rear, but neither of those is too hard to deal with. And the best part, of course, reliable as could be and paid for, so any other money spent can go to fun
And it's even a relatively rare 2-toner. Terrific price for the condition & miles, as well |

>I love the instrument panel.
Now:
>Get the doghouse from a 93-96 FWB and graft it on to the Buick.
>Get the stainless steel panels from the 93-96 FWB's and apply them to the Buick.
>Go "one better" and get the thin, vertical "chrome" strips which run down the back of the front door windows and place them, vertically, about 8 inches from each outer edge of the rear windows like all Cadillac Fleetwoods had from 1932 to 1952.
>Apply the appropriate Cadillac emblems to the rear deck and re-pinkslip.
(David Dunbar Buick wouldn't mind a bit (But the DMV would probably pitch a fit))

| | | Re: Not a Fleetwood... but very close? Nice choice. I have one for my DD.
By the way I paid much more than that 2.5 years ago for my 96. But I am in Canada.
Seems well bought though. Forget about all those Caddy wannabe mods. Let it be a proud Buick! |

| | | Re: Not a Fleetwood... but very close? The suspension on the Roadmaster is actually set up to rider softer than the SDV. Also, fewer problems with fewer gadgets on Buick. Only downside is that the 94 requires prem gas. GM made a change in 95 and 96 to reg gas.
Congratulations on nice car. Take good care of it. It will go for 150,000 miles or more.

| | | Re: Not a Fleetwood... but very close? You got a great price on that car. Good low mileage used cars in the south are impossible to locate because Katrina destroyed millions of cars. Dealers are driving 1000 miles north to locate clean used cars.
You can drive that car for 2 years and sell it for $3500.
