87 brougham no power

I have an 87 Brougham that lacks power. I gaped plugs, changed fuel and air filters , checked timing 20 degrees, replaced catalytic converter. I now this car had more power when I got it 5 years ago. Someone sugessted removing the carb and cleaning the ER tubes, any ideas?

A carb overhaul could be useful, as that is one of the components which usually goes on these cars.

You can also check the other 1987 post that's underneath this one to see if it has any ideas for you. It's about the same problem.

Cleaning the EGR tubes can be a pain. If you have an air line handy, Take the EGR valve off, spray carb cleaner down the tubes and EGR valve passage. Let it sit, then use the airline to blow the passages out through the valve passage with a rag over the carb to prevent a fountain of crud everywhere.
